My wife and I will be cruising on Disney Wonder for 4-days, starting on Oct.20. Once we get back, we decided to spend one day at one of the parks.(not sure which one but leaning towards MK) Does anybody have a favorite hotel relatively close to MK that runs $80 or less/night??

I was going to suggest the WL or the POLY for one night if you specificly want to be close to the MK. I then saw your $80 or less requirement and that would not apply to any of the MK resorts.

Jeff,
I really dont think you will find much for less than 80/night off property near WDW. BUT... for $99/night you can stay ON Disney property at one of the All Star Hotels!! You are missing value prices by about 10 days. they start Nov2. Id splurge for the extra 20 bucks. We had friends stay off propery last year trying to save a little money, and the shuttles the hotel provided were not great times. They only had 2 times to get to the park. 8:30 and 10:30. If you missed one, you had to take a taxi. Im not sure if all off property hotels are like that but defiantely check!! We stay at All stars all the time and love it there!

There are plenty of nice hotels for under $80 off property! I think your best bet is to repost this over on the Orlando board. You'll get lots of help there.

Will you have a car? It makes a big difference.

I've heard good things about the Country Inn & suites, calypso way. There is a thread about it on the Orlando board. I'm also a big priceline fan. You can get a resort for under $80, including tax & priceline fee. The resorts the come up are the marriott orlando world center, the hilton at DTD, the wyndham palace. maybe another one? I got the hilton for $55 in MArch last year. www.biddingfortravel.com has helpful info, including an FAQ & a specific section on winning bids in Orlando. Mousesavers.com also has a priceline how to.

CHeck the rates for some of the hotels on the IDS board main page. They are really cheap and close to disney, plus some of them are pretty nice hotels.

I Read Aimee M's idea aboout All Stars resort. Check out the Disney World website for Hotel discount codes. You might be able to get an All Stars room for $59.00 a night.
I hope this helps!

It's $74 to stay at the All-Star in late Oct. using the discount code (mousesavers.com)

Wow.. thats good! TOo bad I never knew about those discount codes before!!!! Are they good during value season as well??

11/3-12/25 = $55 for All Star Music or Sports. Check out mousesavers.com.
