Recommended (Affordable) Table Service

Naples in Downtown Disney is relatively affordable (compared to the parks) and has a diverse enough menu from pizza to pasta to salads. Plus it's the first restaurant coming from the promenade.

Cafe Orleans is already mentioned. Good menu, a few dollars ceaper than the average TS, and much cheaper than BB.

Yes, we will be looking at CS too (dinner, lunch). Just focusing on finding a couple TS first. Plaza Inn is quick service?

Yes, Plaza Inn in CS for lunch and dinner, but it's more of a cafeteria line where you pick what you want and they have lots of inside seating as well as outdoor. I think many would happily substitute in Plaza Inn for many TS options, but you'll have to look over the menu, because the overwhelming popular entree is the fried chicken.

It may have to do with the fact that most guests are day guests at DL, but the more popular dining options at DL are CS.

We always go to Naples at least once but usually twice. Once for pizza and then more pasta/salad dinner.
Go to Le Brea, had an amazing dinner there and a great breakfast the next day.
Rainforest Cafe is mediocre at best especially for the price IMO.
We like Carnation Cafe and Cafe Orleans. While not Table service, we always hit Flo's (usually breakfast) and Jolly Holiday.

Plaza Inn is quick service?

Plaza Inn and Rancho Del Zocalo are quick service restaurants, but they are nicer than the others in that they use real plates and silverware and have ample seating. I think Flo's is like this too at DCA, but it's not a place I enjoy eating so I'm having a hard time remembering.

We like Wine Country Trattoria in DCA. Not sure if the Pixar play parade is still going, but it's fun to sit on the outdoor terrace when the parade is going by.

Love Naples and try to go at least once per trip! Personally, besides Naples, I prefer a lot of the CS options at DLR to the TS ones. Plaza Inn is a nice CS because it has real plates and comfortable indoor seating, plus the fried chicken is very tasty.

Here's another vote for Cafe Orleans. Most of our favorite meals are CS so we don't make a lot of ADR's, but we always try to fit in a lunch at Cafe Orleans. It comes out relatively affordable for us because we usually split Pommes Frites and each order a side/appetizer of soup. If you're ordering full-sized dinner entrees you'll end up paying more than our light lunches, but it's sure to cost less than fine dining options like Napa Rose.

UVA bar is great because they have a fantastic affordable kids menu and also really interesting, varied adult items. We went there last week for lunch and my kids had a hamburger/fries and macaroni and cheese/fruit. My husband had a French dip sandwich and I had super delicious fish tacos. The prices are pretty reasonable for real food at a table service restaurant at Disney, too. It was easy to get a table without a reservation.

Lots of excellent suggestions for TS. For CS, I say, make a stop at
Whitewater Snacks located in the Grand Californian Hotel. Easy to get to
and back into the parks, prices reasonable, something for everyone.
Many CS dishes can be shared throughout the park and DTD. Check out the menus and a couple of the food threads for pics. That may help you make a list (be careful, it will also make you hungry).

We normally do Cafe Orleans and UVA Bar. Trader Sam's and Jazz Kitchen from time to time.

We generally avoid buffets because in my opinion end up costing more. $30 for food sitting out isn't economical to me. I don't need all you can eat service, I just want good food. That being said, we opt for meal service vs the buffet at Storytellers. Years ago all buffets offered the exact same food despite the setting (storyteller vs Goofy's kitchen). No idea if this is still the case.

We usually do Carnation and Cafe Orleans. Food is solid, we have reservations, so no worry about finding a spot to eat, and I like the steady water refills because my family tends to forget to hydrate. Really, table service for us means that we don't have to worry about it being really crowded or having to wait for dinner. It's not TS, but we are big fans of Jolly Holiday, everyone likes the food there. My group usually includes a vegetarian, a gluten free eater, meat eaters, a toddler and a teen.
