Certainly DTD offers many meal opportunities, from low key to high brow. Earl of sandwich is always a great place; great casual food offerings and lots of hub bub activity, if you like the "busy" style of active crowds. On the high end, Fultons offers some of the best (IMHO) seafood dishes (crab claws that are the size of baseballs) along with a great formal atmosphere (as formal as Disney can be with shorts and sandals as typical dress). Raglan Road has great food and a great pub atmosphere, but is fine for families.
But sticking close to "Home", try the Turf Club; SSR's sit down dining restaurant. Good food, wonderful relaxed atmosphere, both inside and outside dining. I've never had a problem getting in.
"Can't Miss" things vary depending upon the family. SSR offers lots of Pool and Hot Tub experiences. DTD offers lots of shopping, along with the unusual and outstanding Cirque du Soleil. Of course there are great movie theaters included, if the latest Disney movie is a must see for you.
Have a great time!
