I've read numerous reviews on Sit Down dining restaurants but not so many Quick service restaurants. Please give me advice for breakfast, Lunch and dinner places for quick service! Our first time in the parks this May for our honeymoon and I don't want to look clueless as to where all the good food is! :goodvibes

Breakfast is tricky........ I hear Main Street Bakery is great!
Here are my faves by park:

MK: Pecos Bill or Cosmic Rays (for the toppings bars!) I would choose Rays between the two, more variety.

EP: There are soooo many choices! Just pick a type of food and you will find it there! I hear Morocco is great, but I haven't tried it.

AK: Not a lot to choose from. I would have to go with Yak & Yeti.

HS: Fairfax Fare! Ribs, Chicken, BBQ sandwich! YUM!

DTD: Puck Express at Marketplace. IMHO this is the best CS of them all!

My favorites for each park are:

MK - Cosmic Ray's (my DS actually requested we go back here when I asked him where he wanted to eat on our next trip) and Columbia Harbour House

AK - Flame Tree BBQ

DHS - Starring Rolls (the cupcakes are worth the trip alone ;))

Epcot - Sunshine Seasons

DTD - Wolfgang Puck Express

I know some of these places serve breakfast but this is my list for lunch and dinner. We don't really do breakfast very much in the parks and just eat something quick in our room.

MK - Columbia Harbor House
AK- FlameTree BBQ
Epcot - Tangierine Cafe
are our favorites.

Breakfast we generally eat in the room or grab something quick at the resort.

MK: Columbia Harbour House or Pecos Bill
Epcot: Sunshine Seasons, Yakitori House
DHS: Studio Catering Co or Backlot Express
AK: Flame Tree

The best breakfast IMO is the Boardwalk Bakery. I usually just get some yogurt and a bagel but getting to the Boardwalk early before the crowds start is the best way to start the morning.

Sunshine Seasons in the Land pavilion and the Tangerine Cafe are the best two on property and are both in Epcot.

Is this the line-up of restaurants leading up to TOT and RnR? I'm always stuck for a good QS in DHS...

Yes it is! And their food is very good!

As far as good CS places in the parks go, there are MANY! :) Let me break some of my favorites for breakfast, lunch, and dinner in each park:

Magic Kingdom:

In Adventureland:
- Aloha Isle (for a snack, the infamous Dole Whip :cloud9:)

In Fantasyland:
- Storybook Treats Ice Cream- formerly Mrs. Potts' Cupboard (again, snack, but some real good ice cream sundaes)
- Pinocchio Village Haus (QS with a pretty good selection of things like salads, pizza, subs and even chicken parm, you can even watch the boats of IASW going by from some tables!)

In Frontierland:
- Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn & Cafe (best burgers around! and don't forget the yummy fixin's bar! plus other options like bbq sandwiches, chicken wraps, and taco salad)

In Liberty Square:
- Sleepy Hollow (for a snack, get a loaded Mickey waffle or a delicious funnel cake!)
- Columbia Harbour House (yummy sandwiches, salads, and seafood baskets with delicious sides and desserts)

On Main Street U.S.A.:
- The Plaza Ice Cream Parlor (this place is a classic for a sundae in a waffle bowl)
- Main Street Bakery (for breakfast or a snack, they have the most delicious pastries EVER...like those massive cinnamon rolls, ice cream cookie sandwiches, and croissants. they also have bagels and fruit and croissant sandwiches for breakfast, as well as other sandwich selections for lunch and dinner. this place is a must-do.)
- Casey's Corner (the best hot dogs in all of WDW and a personal favorite. and you can watch the parades and/or Dream Along with Mickey while you eat lunch, or Wishes while you eat a late dinner. the location is great :) Casey's is a classic :) the corn dog nuggets are also yummy)

In Tomorrowland:
- Auntie Gravity's Galactic Goodies (great smoothies, and healthy too! Made with yogurt not ice cream)
- The Lunching Pad (for a heart attack hot dog :rotfl:)
- Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe (another personal favorite- this place has lots of available seating all the time, and tons of great selection like chicken and ribs, burgers, hot dogs, sandwiches, salads and wraps)

Epcot:

In Future World:
- Electric Umbrella (this place is so cool, and there are salads, burgers, subs and wraps, so everyone gets what they want)
- Sunshine Seasons (this is the QS with the most variety in any park, not including WPE in DTD-there is tons, i mean TONS of good food, like Asian noodle bowls and sweet and sour chicken, cool salads like roasted beets and goat cheese and seared tuna on mixed greens, flatbread sandwiches and my favorite, the turkey and monterey jack with chipotle mayo and a side, rotisserie chicken and pork chops and grilled salmon, grab n' go items like sushi, salads and yogurt, and finally the most yummy selection of desserts EVER, my personal favorite being the strawberry shortcake, it's like HEAVEN- yes, something as simple as strawberry shortcake, but this is no ordinary strawberry shortcake, it's like layered and scrumptious. there is also a very delicious and creamy creme brulee, muffins, danishes, croissants, crumb cake, fruit tulips, key lime pie, cheesecake, flan, and brownies and blondies.)

In World Showcase:
- Lotus Blossom Cafe (China- the shrimp fried rice is great, and so are the egg rolls. the CMs are always very friendly. there are also potstickers, orange chicken, stir fries and sesame chicken salad. and for dessert, the red bean ice cream is so delicious. it's like the best hidden gem EVER.)
- Boulangerie Patisserie (France- croissants and breakfast quiches, as well as quiches for lunch and dinner, baguette and croissant sandwiches, and the most fabulous array of pastries that WS has to offer.)
- The Yorkshire County Fish Shop (UK- fish and chips and shortbread-that's all they serve- but let me tell you it is SOOO good. my fave QS in WS. the fish just melts in your mouth and the chips are crisp and yummy. the shortbread is fabulous.)
- Yakitori House (Japan- shogun, tempura, udon, curry, teriyaki, salads, and of course, sushi. a wide array of authentic foods and flavors, all are fantastic.)
- La Cantina de San Angel (we mainly love the location of this QS- right on World Showcase Lagoon. late at night, watch Illuminations while munching on chips & guac, and tacos, empanadas, and nachos for lunch.)
- Tangerine Cafe (many will say this place is the best QS- and I agree that it certainly ranks somewhere at the top- the shawarma platters are delish and filling, and we love the atmosphere of all of Morocco. :))
- Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe (there are gourmet sandwiches with soup for lunch and dinner, but we mainly go here for a snack, AKA SCHOOLBREAD  and also berry cream puffs, cloudberry horns, lefse, and sweet pretzels- all delicious.)

Hollywood Studios:

On Sunset Boulevard:
- Starring Rolls (yummy foccacia sandwiches, and the cupcakes are to die for :cloud9: you absolutely cannot miss this place :))
- Fairfax Fare (chicken, ribs, pulled pork and salads, this place is yummy but not alot of people know about it. :thumbsup2)

On Commissary Lane:
- ABC Commissary (I personally like this place alot, there are interesting choices, like chicken bleu, chicken curry, and asian salad. they also have burgers and fish baskets. this place always has plenty of seating, as well as some great AC in the summer :woohoo:)

By Echo Lake:
- Backlot Express (grilled sandwiches, southwest salad, hot dogs, burgers, and chicken. pretty basic, but still nice and convenient.)

On the Streets of America:
- Toy Story Pizza Planet Arcade (Like right outta the movie, and the pizza is yummy. it comes with salad too, so you're always far from hungry. you can order just a bigger salad too.)
- Studio Catering Company (cool sandwiches, wraps and salads make for some yummy food and a shady seating area)

Animal Kingdon:
In Africa:
- Kusafiri Coffee Shop and Bakery (check out their cupcakes for a snack, close second to Starring Rolls :cloud9:)
- Harambe Fruit Market (this is where you can get the Jalepeno Cream Cheese Pretzel)

In Asia:
- Yak and Yeti Local Foods Cafe (honey chicken, sweet and sour chicken, orange beef, mandarin chicken salad and more- yum :))

- Pizzafari (best QS pizza in all of DW- served with caesar salad, they also have antipasto salad and italian sandwiches. such a cool atmosphere, this place is SO artistic and colorful, with cool themed dining rooms and plenty of space. they also have breakfast here- breakfast pizza, breakfast platters, french toast, cinnamon rolls, yogurt, pastries and fruit.)

Downtown Disney:

In Marketplace: (all are)
- Cookes of Dublin (fish and chips, scallops, shrimp, fisherman's pie, salads, and fried candy bars make up the quaint Irish pub-style QS)
- Earl of Sandwich (like the Panera Bread of WDW. this place has TONS of different sandwiches, wraps, and salads, and although I recommend the BLT, they are all delicious! :) don't forget some bread pudding or a brownie sandwich for dessert! :thumbsup2)
- Wolfgang Puck Express (last but most certainly not the least- this place has the most options anywhere. from breakfast selections like breakfast pizzas and waffles to different soups, salads, sandwiches, pizzas, platters, and delicious desserts like creme brulee and frozen yogurt, this place is a winner any way you slice it :hippie:)

So there ya go! I know it's alot, but hopefully you can narrow it down to your personal tastes and cravings. :)

Happy planning! :goodvibes

Would you consider any meals at the resorts?

On our last visit to the Magic Kingdom, we went over to Captain Cook's at the Polynesian Resort and enjoyed the Tonga Toast (french toast with bananas in the middle). It's pretty sweet so one of us got that for breakfast and the other got the breakfast with the breakfast potatoes and sausage or bacon. Then we took the monorail over to the Magic Kingdom.

At Epcot, Sunshine Seasons is so good for lunch or dinner that I'm sure that they're good for breakfast too.

After a day at Animal Kingdom, I like to go over to the Animal Kingdom lodge and eat at Mara or over to the food court at Coronado Springs Resort. CSR has a lot of tasty options - better than most food courts. Animal Kingdom Lodge has tasty food but I also like the resort and seeing their animal savannahs there too.

I also enjoy eating at the Food court at Port Orleans French Quarter on Wednesday - Saturday evenings because I enjoy hearing either Elliott Dyson at POFQ or Bob Jackson at POR. These gentlemen perform live music in the resort lounges from 8:30PM - Midnight on those evenings.

I like Starring Rolls for lunch at Disney's Hollywood Studios.

Epcot has soooooo many good choices although I'm not a fan of the Chinese counter-service food.

Flame Tree BBQ is my fav at Animal Kingdom.

Allearsnet.com has menus for all the counter-service restaurants and here's a helpful articles about best counter-service locations: http://www.squidoo.com/best-disney-world-quick-service-meals

You are soo awesome!! You're the Queen of QS reviews :rotfl2:!! I think I'll just print out your response and take it with me to WDW. Thanks a bunch!!:thumbsup2

:yay:
Don't miss Tangerine Cafe in Morocco - by far the best quick service!

I'll try not to miss it!!:thumbsup2

I do have an ADR for Yak & Yeti, are they QS though?? I'll try to get to all the other places you requested, thanks!!

I'm hearing a lot of good things about Rays, I'll have to give it a try for sure!:woohoo: Thanks!!

MK - Columbia Harbor House
AK- FlameTree BBQ
Epcot - Tangierine Cafe
are our favorites.

Thanks so much!!:thumbsup2

Breakfast we generally eat in the room or grab something quick at the resort.

MK: Columbia Harbour House or Pecos Bill
Epcot: Sunshine Seasons, Yakitori House
DHS: Studio Catering Co or Backlot Express
AK: Flame Tree

Hearing lots of good things about Flame aTree, I'm getting so excited about the food!!:yay: Thanks so much!!

Def need to get the breakfast in before the big day! I'm excited to try the Boardwalk Bakery! Thanks so much!

Avoid the commissary at hollywood studios!!

Def good to know the places to avoid too, I don't need to waste time on yucky food ;) Thanks!

I'm def excited to see the other resorts so I'm def interested in trying their food too, Thanks!!

Magic Kingdom: Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe.

Epcot: Sunshine Seasons & Electric Umbrella.

Hollywood Studios: ABC Commissary & Backlot Express.

Animal Kingdom: Flame Tree BBQ & Pizzafari.

Downtown Disney Marketplace: Earl of Sandwich.

Thank you so much!!:thumbsup2

MK: Cosmic Ray's Starlight Café- this place goes beyond just burgers and wraps and has many items on the menu that are a great value on the dining plan.

Epcot: Sunshine Seasons- excellent variety and IMHO the best counterserve in all of WDW. Tangierine Café is also excellent and the Swawarma Platter is better than many table serve offerings. And you must stop at Boulangerie Patisserie in France just for a pastry, outstanding.

AK: Flame Tree Barbeque- Very good and nice portions. Restaurantosaurus - nothing special, chicken nuggets, burgers, and a couple salad choices, but at least it is air conditioned. I can't recommend Pizzafari, in my opinion, the Pizza here and just about anywhere else in WDW is just terrible.

DHS: Sorry, wish I could recommend something here, but this place is absolutely miserable when it comes to cs. If you must eat here then Starring Rolls Cafe is the only possible place I would recommend. The Black Forest Ham sandwich is ok and the Turkey Focaccia is also ok, but it is what it is, a cold sandwich and a bag of chips... It's as good as it gets here. I would also recommend to absolutely avoid ABC Commissary; has to be the worst restaurant in WDW, period. Search this site and others, don't just take my word, it is overwhelmingly the lowest rated restaurant and for good reason.

DTD: Earl of Sandwich- offers more than just a couple of cold sandwich options; however, if you do choose to go the cold sandwich route, they are very good.

MK: Columbia Harbour House, Cosmic Rays
Epcot: Sunshine Seasons, Lotus Blossom Cafe (China)
Animal Kingdom: Yak and Yeti
Hollywood Studios: Can't think of one in particular, but Starring Rolls Cafe is good for snacks/cakes
DTD: Earl of Sandwich, Wolfgang Puck Express, Pollo Campero - I think the options at DTD are great! :)

our favorites:
MK - pecos bill (taco salads) & columbia harbor house(fried shrimp)
Epcot - mexico and france's bakery(omg, i want the ham/cheese croissant right now)
you can use a lot of your snacks here
HS - Starring Rolls (good sandwiches and the best butterfinger cupcake)
AK - Yak & Yeti (sweet/sour chicken)
and of course the most favorite here on the dis - dtd - wolfgang puck express!!! yummy, the best pizzas!
have fun and congrats!

Here are my favorites....

MK - Casey's, Cosmic Rays Starlight Cafe, Columbia Harbour House

EPCOT - Electric Umbrella

AK and DHS - I don't have any favorites....haven't been impressed with any of them.

great thread

DHS- its a struggle
AK- struggle
EP-love Sunshine Seasons
MK-Pecos Bills, Cosmis Rays

We have to try some of the DHS recommendations, thanks for info. IMHO Flame Tree BBQ is way overrated
