Traveling with my 4 year old daughter in January. Our first trip. Anyone have any recommendations for things to do at night on Sundays, Mondays, and Tuesdays. With park hours closing 7pm, 6pm, 6pm respectively I will be looking to do some fun things with her at night as well.

My daughter loves the dance partys at MK and all Character experiences. Does universal offer anything like that?

Mini Golf would be fun, a movie is a possibility.

Any other ideas?

that is a hard call, as city walk has mainly a "club like' atmosphere. I would DEFINITLY do the mini golf thing and perhaps take in a 'dive in" movie at hotel. Grab your towels and a couple chairs by poolside watch :flower3:family oriented movies, plus you can swim at night too !

We're spending 7 nights with a 5 and two year old. We plan on mini golf, movie at City Walk, maybe Blue Man Group (with just 5 year old), and plenty of pool time. And, maybe hitting up the outlet mall and/or IKEA one night.

I am not expecting any pool time in January. Average high is 71. Blue man group is an idea.

We've done swimming in January at Disney. Not sure if universal's pools are heated though :) which would make ALL the difference!

Universal pos are heated just like wdw's. The air, however, is not.

January can be lovely (I see nothing wrong with swimming at 71 degrees!). And it can be awful. Pools at wdw were closed for at least a day this jan, when it was 21 with wind chill. I'd guess uni's were too. Be prepared for anything. I recommend shorts and long johns and everything in between.

You may very well be able to swim...The pools are heated and we have had temps near and in the 80s on our last 2 Jan trips ( not the norm I know)

Will you have a car? If so, there are plenty of things to do in the area along International Drive: more mini-golf, the world's biggest Playland (McDonald's), Outta Control Dinner Show (family oriented comedy/magic pizza and soda dinner show which gets rave reviews here on the DIS and tripadvisor).

Otherwise there's always bowling at Cabana Bay.
