So our trip in Feb of 18 is now looking like a party of 9. Me and my dw and ds, in laws, and my father and his wife and her son and his wife. Where o where would you recommend I put this crew. Me and dw like the moderates and ds won't be 3 yet so.... go

Sounds to me like you need four rooms. I would pick according to everyone's budget. Personally we like the Epcot area resorts best with a large group. There are so many places easily accessible within a short walk making it a great area for everyone to go do their own thing yet come together to meet up later in the day. Lots of restaurants, lots of walking space, great lounges, two parks within walking distance, recreational activities- it meets everyone's needs.

Our group of 11 will be staying in 3 rooms at the CBR. One of the groups has a 3 year old who will be sleeping in the smaller bed in front of the TV.

I would go with 4 rooms at a Value or Mod, depending on budgets, unless you know everyone is flush and can suggest a deluxe.

I feel like I need a little more information such as what members of your party want to have their own rooms, which ones don't mind sharing, budget, etc.

If looking for staying together then you might consider renting pts on a 2BR or 3BR villa. Dunno how much in price that will go for when compared to grabbing 2 or 3 regular hotel rooms with no guarantee of any of them being close together.

Definitely off site. Look at WBC, Reunion, or Bahama Bay. Nice resorts at a tiny fraction of the cost. Ideal for larger groups.

I agree that you'll want and/or need four rooms. So, find out a budget and go from there.

Also, don't try to do everything together. I'd plan one meal where you're all together if possible, then split up and plan a meal with whomever per day, but plan to do your own things as well.

Bahama Bay, isn't that where the sink hole was today?

Yes! Although I think the sinkhole is in Bahama Bay 2, which was a failed addition when the developer went broke during the Great Recession. It is not part of Bahama Bay run by Wyndham.

I did a trip with 8 in August. We did a split-stay at GF and BC with three rooms at each hotel. At the GF we had three rooms together and one on another floor. At the BC we had two together and the other two spread out on another floor. We didn't mind being separated, but you might. I just did a split-stay because two of the people were first timers and I thought they oils enjoy an MK resort stay. If we go on another trip as a group, I'd do BC for the whole time, as it is my favorite resort.

If you want to do moderate, I would do POR or POFQ.

If you like moderates, why not book a moderate? If it's what you're comfortable with that is going to make all the difference if you're coordinating between eight adults. I happen to like both Port Orleans resorts and POFQ is nice and compact if size is a worry. However, as others have pointed out, are you guys okay with being separated or do you want to be in the same room/general area? If you do want to be in the same room, renting points for a 3 Bedroom Villa might be your best bet.
