Recommendations for Offsite House/Condo/Villa

It appears that we may be in Orlando in July for the USSSA Fastpitch softball World Series with my daughter's travel team. We will probably be there for 9 nights and as much as I love staying on Disney property, I am thinking that it will definitely be more cost-effective to stay offsite for this trip. I don't "think" we will be going to the parks and I definitely like the idea of having a kitchen, washer/dryer, and MORE ROOM! We were just at Disney in September before my DH deployed so budget friendly is the priority for this trip.

Does anyone have any recommendations? We will be a family of 6. I am thinking we would like to have a pool home but not locked into that at this point.

Thanks!

We've stayed at Windor Hills and were really happy. Its a short drive to Disney and the resort pool is really nice. They do have 3 bedroom townhomes with splash pools. Although we've never stayed there, I looked at Emerald Isle. Its in the same neighborhood, but a little older and the rentals seemed to be less $. For our trip in February, we wanted a 4 bedroom, so we're staying at Paradise Palms. Its a newer development and looks great from the pictures. The other resort that everyone seems to like is Bonnet Creek.

We stayed in a 4 bedroom town home in Emerald Island in Dec and would recommend it-VRBO Listing #434314. Plenty of room- very nice comfortable family room with room on couch for all 6. Table had 4 chairs but there were folding chairs in the closet and they easily fit at table to make room for 6. It is not a pool home but unit is very close to the clubhouse and the pool really is right out the door- we enjoyed it even in December!

I've stayed at Paradise Palms and it exceeded my expectations. I rented it direct from the owner and I got an excellent price.

You might want to check their rates at paradisepalmsbyowner.com

They have a 4 bedroom townhome with pool that might be just what you are looking for.

Since you mentioned that your DH is deployed, have you looked at Armed Forces Vacation Club for condos? We booked a 2 bedroom condo that sleeps 8 for a week in September during their sale a few weeks ago for $299. I think their is a $20 off special right now that would make it $349 for a week. I know you asked about a home, but I thought I would still suggest it since you mentioned budget is a concern.

Stick with a name brand to ensure the quality is there. We love the Marriotts and Hiltons and they always deliver a high quality experience.

We love the Sheraton Vistana Resort.

Its very convenient to shopping and dining, the resort amenities are awesome (mini golf, beach volleyball, basketball, 7 pools, 6 hot tubs, daily scheduled activities, etc.) and the rooms are beautiful, all redone down to the studs within the last several years. Most of the two bedroom units are about 1200 square feet and offer a full kitchen with breakfast bar, a washer/dryer, a screened in balcony, a king bed in the master, two doubles in the 2nd bedroom (though two phases do have twins), a queen pull out in the living room, flat screen TV's, and two bathrooms (one with a jacuzzi tub). Internet is free, parking is free, and there is no resort fee.

Location is excellent....right around the corner from Downtown Disney.

There are many neighborhoods off US-27 as well as in the ChampionsGate area that rent out vacation homes. Most of them are run by property management companies in Orlando and you book through them. In fact, my in-laws just bought one and had their first rental over Christmas!
