Recommendations for Magic Servers

Hello!

We are going to be on the June 17th Norway/Iceland cruise and are looking for recommendations for servers on the Magic. We're a family of 4 - two adult daughters. Looking for friendly, no-nonsense service, no need for games or magic tricks. We'd like to eat and get out fast. Any suggestions?

We had Antara and Julie as our serving team. They were great! They were friendly and gave good recommendations. There were only us two adults at our table and they didn't do magic tricks or games. They told us the first two nights to make sure to let them know if their service is too fast or slow.

We had Jose Luis and Aaron on our Norway cruises last summer and they were fantastic. Super friendly, fast service. They always remembered what we liked and usually had our drinks ready and waiting for us!

That's one of my favorite things. We're always prompt for dinner so we always appreciate that.

I have been on 15+ cruises on all different cruise lines and have never had better dining room service than on our jan 2016 magic cruise. We had Tanais from Indonesia (?). He was incredible. (I was traveling with 2 three year olds and an infant...we were in and out of there, kids' food already on the table, standing order for mickey bars waiting, etc.)

We had Dee (cant remember her real name as it was hard to pronounce) and Nur and both were AWESOME!

Is you Jose from Spain or Portugal ??? Kinda tall?
We had him on our last cruise and my kids really want him again!

Yes! I'm pretty sure that's him...
Between the strawberries awaiting thier arrival, mickey shaped ketchup, and finding a away to make
"orange soda (Orange juice and sprite).. All my kids talk about when are we going back to see jose!

BEST OF ALL: I didn't have to cut my kids food! My youngest has sensory and all her food NEEDS to be in little bites.
He noticed I would spend most the meal cutting her food and the next night he told me "your on vacation, this is my job" This was huge for me.. I hadn't a hot meal in years!
Even the mornings he saw us at the breakfast buffet, he would still come over and cut her food!

Now If that wasn't enough:
One night both my girls were not feeling good (long day in the sun)
Would have skipped dinner but it was animators palate, and we both sooo looking forward to it..

Jose had noticed I hadn't touched my steak.. I was holding my youngest and didn't have a free hand to cut it..
He leaned over and said " I got you." Has he started to cut my steak..
I could have cried!

If you have kids.. You want jose!

Doesn't that just make your night! Our assistant server Maria always cut our daughter's steak, and one night cut mine while I was holding our very tired son (long excursion day). I was just waiting for my husband to eat so we could play swap-the-child, and she did it for me. I was so thrilled!

Has Jose Luis been promoted to Server or is he still an Assistant Server? He was our Assistant Server on Disney Wonder for our 2013 Alaskan Cruise, bu the last time I saw him was in Cabanas on Disney Magic during our 2015 Northern Europe Cruise and he was still an Assistant Server.

Is Sampong (Sammy) from Thailand still on the Magic? He was there in 2012 and we loved him! I just booked a NYE cruise and have already requested him if he is still on board.

One would hope he would be promoted, with how great he is!

It just amazes me how some of the severs pick up on little things..
It makes our trip worth every penny!

I've been trying to post one, but have been having Trouble .

My daughter was dressed as curella one night for villains tonight..
I was taking pictures and She was posing for me (like a model) and she starts posing right along side her..
We were all cracking up!

It's nice to see someone else that likes a server I've also had. I had Mirka and Marcos as my servers on the Magic and have nothing but good things to say about the both of them!
