Recommendations for low-cost, quality lodging near MGM park?

Has anyone heard of any outstanding deals for the end of October, including any "entertainment-book" deals?? Prefer to stick with some of the more well-known facilities, like Hilton, Hampton, Radisson, etc... Just need for one-night stay! I am Disney-Club member and AAA member

Hi Jeff! Well, I'm not sure what you are looking for, but I would consider the Dolphin if you are and Entertainment member. We were quoted $189 for peak season. Surely, you can find a better rate there in October. They also give a teacher and military discount if you qualify. I made ressies there for my boss in March and they stayed for $129 during peak season.

The Dolphin and sister resort Swan are deluxe hotels and are actually the closest hotels to MGM of any (a 5 minute boat ride), including all the Disney owned hotels. All the ones you mention are not close to MGM as they are in the Downtown Disney area or elsewhere off site, but very often you can get rooms at those for low dollars. A site to check is www.mousesavers.com which keeps tabs of discounted rates for the hotels.
