recommendations for karaoke machine

I'm looking at buying a karaoke machine for my kids (ages 9 and 11) for Christmas. I've been reading reviews on line and for whatever reason can't get a good feel for what's good and what's not. So I thought I would come to the DIS.

Anyone have a karaoke machine they recommend? I'd like to stay under $200

Or, if you don't have a specific machine but have suggestions on what I should be looking for, that would be great. I really don't know anything about karaoke machines, my kids just see the one in Costco all the time (which has gotten bad reviews from what I can find) and say they want one. I think it would be a fun family gift.

We bought my daughter one that was less than 100 dollars. I believe the brand was iLive and it is great because her iPod plugs right in and iTunes has a great selection of karaoke music. It is not the fanciest, but it works well and has held up well.
