Recommendations for April or May?

We're planning a trip for Spring of 2008. I'd love recommendations from anyone who has been there during that time.
We can pretty much go any week in April or May. Which week would you recommend?
I'd like to avoid heavy crowds if possible
We were originally planning late March, but then I realized that Easter fell into that timeframe, so we decided to push it back a bit.
Any tips?

Definitely early May. The weather isn't too hot, flower festival is in full bloom, and spring break is over, so crowds are good.

Another vote for early May - the crowds are much better than in April.

We just did April 28 through May 4 and thought the crowds were great except our AK day for some reason , other than taht it was wonderful although we thought it was hot, not as bad as summer, we have been in Aug but we went once during the 1st week in March and it was actaully chilly for a day and half and then beatuiful.

Definitely early May. The weather isn't too hot, flower festival is in full bloom, and spring break is over, so crowds are good.

Ditto... We usually take our spring vacation during Easter (DD12 doesn't miss school) and the crowds are ponderous !!!! The weather in late April, early May is perfect in Florida. Usually sunny, 80-85 degrees and an afternnon shower to cool you off!

If at all possible, check around for spring break schedules and avoid that time like the plague !!

We were just there April 22-28 and the crowd levels seemed fine to me. Spring breaks mostly ended the week before. However, from what I have read, early May sounds like it might be better. Happy planning!

We just went April 25 - May 1. It was great for weather and crowds. Just be careful of Grad nites. I think they fall the last 2 fridays and Saturdays nights in April. They close MK early and bus in all the seniors from the area schools.

Oh yeah sorry our arrival night was the last Grad Night. I think I saw it on the WDW website. It was crazy at our hotel that night (CR) bc many people had to leave MK and a lot came over to the CR to do Chef Mickey. We just rode the monorail which DS4 loved and ate at the food court that night. Wandered around and then got up early for the next day. Depending where you are staying, we did hear the Grad night fireworks and bands overnight. Some on the DIS did say you could not hear a thing but in the MK Tower rooms, both DH and I were woken up by the noise, kids slept right through.

I always go in May. We just went this past May 3-10. Weather and crowds were...........PERFECT!!!!!!!!!

Oh, I so wish I was going again soon! Not for a couple more years for us though

the attractions lines were perfect. the kids were like the only ones in there, it was no wating time, and the weather was perfect too (no to hot not to humid), the ony tip i can give you is to check the restaurant reservations i had a little problem there. but i think is the best time to go
