Hi,

I am finally visiting Disney World for the first time this year and will be celebrating my birthday there. Can anyone please recommend a lovely place for a birthday meal? Would need to be child friendly too. Either in a Disney resort or nearby.

Thank you for your help!

What are you after? Elegant or fun? For elegant I'd go for Artists Point at Wilderness Lodge (nice kids menu there too) and for fun I'd go for Chef Mickeys (character buffet with Mickey et al at the Contemporary).

In 2011 we were fortunate enough to celebrated my 40th at the Hoop dee doo review. Cheesy dinner show with chicken in a bucket! Fantastic fun! Then a few nights later we celebrated my daughter's 11th birthday at the California Grill complete with humongous cake! Sushi was very tasty and fireworks were awesome!

What kind of dining experience would you like?

If you wish to have a meal Off Site then take a cab to " The Gaylord Palms Convention Center "

6000 West Osceola Parkway . There is " Villa De Flora " Buffet Restaurant

Not cheap $ 35 per person ( ?) BUT great value & a great place for children .

yep - depends on what you're after and budget????

But the beauty of Disney is a million dining options:

Sanaa is amazing, or Cali Grill for an extra special event, Kona Cafe is cool as well.

The Wave at Epcot is cool.

The Grand Flo cafe place (cant remember the name) was good, and quite posh feeling.

For outside of the parks - Raglan Road is supposed to be great (got our ADR for next month) and lso add my vote for Chef Mickey!

Make sure you get your birthday pin as you wander around - it will get you loads of "happy birthdays" and maybe a treat or two???

So lucky to have your birthday in the most magical place - have a fabulous time.

Virtually all restaurants in Disney are child friendly.

Any of the signatures are great :goodvibes

Personally, I would avoid a buffet at all costs as I do not want to waiting on myself on my birthday - I want to be waited on :rotfl:

Hoop Dee Doo has been mentioned too - thats a lot of fun and you get a show and good food!

Cinderella's Royal Table is a great place for a celebration meal for the entire family

Thank you I all for your responses. I received no notifications so thought no one had answered so it was a lovely surprise to see these!

I definitely want to waited on and think it will have to be in Disney! Thanks for the tip regarding the birthday pin- I am ridiculously excited about getting one of those.:)
