We were last in Florida last year so was just wondering if anything has changed since then? We intend buying clothes etc but I was wondering now that the $ rate is not so good are there still bargains to be had?

Look out more for sales and coupons for the outlets. We got very very good deals at the gap outlet at LBV factory stores. They had big percentages off plus there was an extra 10% in coupon book = very big suitcase needed.

I'd say 1.6 is a pretty good rate personally, it's certainly above average so you should find most things cheaper over there with the exception being certain electronics.
