Recommendation on Hotel in Port Canaveral before Cruise

Hello everyone, I apologize if this has been asked many times but we will be flying into Orlando the night before a cruise. We will be renting a car and staying in Port Canaveral that night. Recommendations on where to stay? We will want it to be easy to return the car the next day and get to port. Thanks.

I usually stay at the Country Inn and Suites in Port Canaveral, and have always had a pleasant experience and found the rates to be reasonable! I am unsure of when you are planning to go, but I do know that a couple of new hotels are scheduled to open in April 2020 that are also close to the port. I believe they are SpringHill Suites by Marriott, and Hampton Inn/Tru by Hilton. I am sailing out of PC in September of this year and interested in trying one of them out, however reservations are not being accepted yet. Homewood Suites by Hilton, Residence Inn by Marriot, and Radisson Resort at the Port are some other popular options also close by.

We stayed at the residence inn in port canaveral. It was convenient because we rented our car from Hertz and the rental office is right in front of the residence inn. We took the shuttle from residence in to the port. On the way back we took the Hertz shuttle back to the rental office and got our car back to MCO.

Thanks for sharing about the new hotels. I just booked Homewood Suites but I really like the Tru by Hilton for it's no frills product and cost. They are nice and clean and we need it for only one night. I'll have to check back in a couple of months to see if the reservations are up and running yet.

Love this thread. Next time I schedule a night prior, it will be in PC, rather than MCO. Seems less stressful and more vacation has begun!
