I have a bamboo spatula but I don't love it. After awhile, the grooves in the wood get deeper and deeper and I feel like I can't really ever get it clean.
I have some great bamboo spoons from Pampered Chef that are used almost daily and still look brand new after at least ten years. I have a wooden spatula I know is from Calphalon because it's branded in the handle that has held up really well. I also have an assortment of other high quality wooden utensils that I've picked up over the years from Sur La Table and other boutique shops when I stumble into sales and clearances.
Yep OXO's a good brand that costs a bit more more but lasts. I also like Homegoods and TJMaxx, kind of hit or miss at times but you can find some high quality stuff for cheap Wood is a classic, bamboo's cheap and effective too.
After trying various pots & pans over the years, I'm left with and prefer my original stainless steel set that are well seasoned. They're not hard to take care of, last forever and cook beautifully. The only coated items we still have are a few bake-ware.
