We are heading to Orlando for Spring Break this year. We currently have reservations at the Legacy Vacation Resort in Lake Buena Vista. Would love to know if anyone has been there? Is it good or not? We've only stayed on-site before so I'm worried about our hotel. We're doing Universal and other things, so no need to stay on-site this time.
If you have recommendations for hotels, please share. I'll at least check and see it they have anything available. Would feel a lot better with a recommendation than going in blind.

Thanks...

Fairfield Inn on Canada Avenue and Hawthorne Suites on Canada Avenue. Residense Inn on Unvisal Blvd al nice clean come with a free breakfast. I have stay at all three hotels before myself.

I've stayed at the Legacy location in Kissimmee. I too always stay onsite, but do due our budget we decided to get something offsite. I book through the Optimum Rewards discount via my cable company. I paid $250 for the entire week (a one bedroom unit) which was a steal! We did not opt for housekeeping or any other extras which would have increased our budget. We usually tour commando style and fall into bed when coming back from the parks. We stayed last year August. I was fine for the price and had the room we needed for our family size. At basically $33/night we could not complain. It gets some bad reviews on trip advisor, but we asked for a remolded unit and got one. For that price, I will definitely use them on a return visit. If you PM me, I can tell you more.

We stayed at the Sheraton Studio City and liked it. Its right on I-drive and almost across the street from Wet n' Wild. US/IOA is a half a mile away.

We've also rented vacation homes, which I now prefer to a hotel. For about the same cost we have more room to spread out, a full kitchen and a private pool.

We stayed here:

and were very happy with both the house and the location.
