recommend your planner??

I have read so many horror stories on here about some of your wedding planners. I want to try as hard as I can to get a good one! Can anyone recommend theirs so I can try and request them? We are looking for someone we can have good e-mail contact with and obviously someone who is very organized and informative???? Thanks.

My planner is Celeste Decicco and I LOVE HER!

She is very good at getting back to your emails right away and she has tons of information to share.

I have also heard good things about Marion. I don't know her last name though.

I'm surprised you have read bad reviews.

I had Marion, and she was wonderful. I didn't work with her too much before the wedding. I mainly dealt with her assistant, who was wonderful as well.

The way they have the system set up, you really can't request a planner. It is all set up by when you have your wedding. You may request someone like Marion, but the day you have your wedding may not be in her time frame. It really is a crap shoot, but I think most people have been very happy with their planners.

Gina was my sales person... I wonder if she's on her way to wedding planning then.... She was awesome... I dealt with her when Brie, my other sales girl went out on maternity leave...

Wow, horror stories? I haven't read any here in the months I've been doing research on the DIS for my wedding. The only negative comments I've heard are about Rose + Rosie from floral.

I don't particularly love or dislike my planner, so I'm not going to mention the name here. I do have to say that Laura Kidd (floral manager for Wishes weddings I believe) seems like a very organized person with a *very* strong personality and many ideas as far as directing the complete vision of your wedding. For those of you familiar with typical corporate positions, I would describe Laura as the "Art Director" whereas I would put the wedding planner in the category of "Project Manager".

It's pretty much luck whether you get along with your wedding planner 'cause obviously personalities have to match up.

Also, keep in mind that a LOT of the Disney Weddings team reads the DISboards as well!

I had Maxine. She was beyond wonderful! I was so relaxed and confident the day of that when we were unsure if my photographer was going to actually make it (no one had been able to contact her for over a week!) I didn't even worry. I knew Maxine would take care of me! Sure enough, she had a Disney photographer on hand and ready to go before my own photographer made it! She also went out of her way to look into stuff for me. Truly a fairy godmother!

Rose is currently my floral manager and I love her. She has been very helpful throughout my planning process. I have changed my beo about 8 times already (probably with a few more to come) and everytime she has been more than willing to give me different suggestions and ideas of what I can do. There have been times where she can be a bit slow to respond to emails, but I understand that she is busy. There have also been times where she will get back to me the next day.

In the past, I have heard some negative reviews about Rose, but I think that with all the brides that they work with everyday - someone will always have something good and bad to say.

The only thing negative I ever heard was that the floral wasn't exactly what they had in mind once they got it.

I agree Karen was awesome! She was great at coming up with suggestions to suit the look i wanted within the budget i had - she always got back to me within a day or so. An on they day of our wedding she was a superstar! Everything run like clock work - she even made sure all the maids etc were off the balcony during our ceremony (we got married at the YCG). She even went out to get me hairspray at the reception. I couldnt have had a better planner!

On another note i had Laura for my floral and she was amazing also! had some really great suggestions and was easy to work with.

When I was still a Wishes Bride, I had Karen also. She is amazing! She always seemed very excited for all the decisions we made. I enjoyed our planning session with her. I also enjoyed meeting Laura Kidd. She is very talkative. We talked about everything. It was too funny.

Now that I have switched to an Escape package (due to low numbers), I have Amy R. as my planner and I've had a phone session with her and it went well. I still have lots of questions to ask and some more things to hammer out with her, but I'm sure it will be ok.

I also, just this week, had my phone planning session with Rosie from floral. WOW! She's amazing. She really worked to make sure my floral works to make the statement I want it too. I asked for several extras that, of course we are paying for, but she had no problem helping me out with the vision I wanted. Love her!

Thanks guys. The only negative things I've read on here really is to do with the BEO's being SUPER late (and not enough time to change them) and some planners forgetting to book spaces! I read about one poor bride having to take a venue she hadn't booked as the planner had forgot to book it! I have heard great things about floral. I was just curious if there were any planners that really stood out for you all.... I have a lot of names now so I will know when mine is assigned ( I am still going to try to request one though!) Thanks!
