I need some new music to listen to.
In my car right now are discs by Paul Simon, James Taylor, Kanye West, Damian Marley, Black Eyed Peas, Beck, Dave Matthews Band, Jack Johnson, Libertines, Kenny Chesney, Toby Keith, Sean Paul
I have a mixed taste. I don't like serious country, I don't like heavy duty rap, love reggae and hip hop that has a reggae feel. When i'm listening to the radio i'll think I like that song but i'll have no idea who it is.
Oh, also i'm a pretty big Parrothead and love Springsteen.

What about Blues Traveler? Kind of a Dave Matthews feel...

Well...I like Foo Fighters, the new Mariah Carey CD, Alan Jackson with Jimmy Buffett (and vice versa), Fat Joe, Will Smith, U2 (how can you go wrong), Gwen Stefani (her solo album rocks), Gorillaz, Enigma, Lauren Hill, Usher, Crossfade (a little harder rock), Queensryche's Operation Mindcrime and Empire are their best IMHO, Bare Naked Ladies, Neil Diamond. I could go on and on, but it depends on my mood and what I want to listen to on my MP3.

ooh...ooh...Chris Isaak! Some of his early stuff is classified as "Rockabilly" - he has covered Roy Orbison & Elvis. His newer stuff is more unique - kinda moody.

Seriously... you have to go out and buy the Antigone Rising CD!!!! I went to a Rob Thomas concert in October and they opened for him. I love Rob Thomas - but I swear to you - this band was awesome. First of all - they're a all girl band, the lead singer, Cassady, is from NJ I believe. They actually have quotes from Sarah McLachlan, Springsteen and several other great musicians on their CD saying they are going to be HUGE - and trust me - you'll love them! It's one of my favorite CD's. It was the end of their tour when I saw them but I'm definitely going to see them again!

I'm really into the new INXS CD. :goodvibes

I see you don't have any Yellowman--surprising if you like reggae! If you like JT and Springsteen, you'd probably like John Hiatt. You might also like POD, they are a Reggae/rock/hip hop/Latin fusion.

Nickelback

Eh. Only the first three CD's. (Four if you count Hesher.) They are on the slipside these days. Silverside was a great CD, although IMHO Curb was better.

The latest two offerings leave a bit to be desired IMHO, and it has nothing to do with the drummer and everything to do with selling out.

What about Rascal Flatts? I saw them opening for Kenny Chesney last year and they almost stole the show. I really like their new album, but be prepared for Sara Beth if you haven't heard that one already.

lots of good suggestions. I do like Nickelback, Foo Fighters, Rascal Flatts, POD, John Hiatt, forgot I had Gwen Stefani and Gorillaz in the car, I like Chris Isaac too. Some of these are groups I forgot I liked so i'm going to check out their newer stuff. I just get tired of shuffling thru the same dozen or so cd's in the car. Then I go into a music store and i'm lost trying to figure what to check out. I hate the way borders has changed their listening format so that you can't hear the whole song.

I'm gonna suggest bands that probably people never heard of but should. Bond, Barrage & The Calling. Also, try some Inucbus, Daniel Bennifield, & something out of the ordinary: Eurobeat Disney. :p

Ooo...I like Incubus! If you like them, take a listen to a new band--Illbreak.
