Looking for something for one night needs to be:

- easy to find from Disney property
- extra points for free breakfast
- cheap (I know that's relative, but something less than 60.00 would be awesome)

Thanks in advance

Try Hotwire- we have used them several times for Disney area hotels and never had a bad experience.

We have gotten the Best Western Lakeside for around $30/night- it is just south of AK on 192 West and is almost identical, layout-wise, to the WDW Value resorts. We got the Radisson Resort Celebration for about $50/night- it is on 192 immediately off I4. Very nice for the price.

We have also had luck through Hotwire in the DTD area- got Extended Stay Deluxe for less than $40/night. We liked it very much. About a mile or so from DTD near the Crossroads Shopping Ctr.

To be able to pretty accurately predict the hotel you are signing up for, try using www.betterbidding.com . Look in the "Priceline hotel list" forum for lists of hotels by city, area, and star rating.

Momofkatie, thanks for the link to betterbidding, it seems helpful for using priceline.

You should be aware of the very important differences between Priceline and Hotwire.
  • Priceline technically only guarantees that the room will accommodate a max of 2 people. Most hotels will accommodate more but there have been instances reported of angry customers because the hotel couldn't accommodate their request.
  • Priceline doesn't guarantee that the hotel will have any particular amenity (e.g., swimming pool, free breakfast). If this is important, you should try Hotwire instead.
  • You can almost always get a better price on Priceline. If price is more important than above 2 items, definitely use Priceline.
  • Another useful Priceline/Hotwire help site is HotelDealsRevealed.com

Try Comfort Suites LBV. Free very basic continental breakfast. Great location. We have gotten it for $33 per night, but that is with a good deal (try travelzoo). You can likely find it for $50 or so...

I always use Hotwire because of the first 2 on the list. I find plenty low enough prices on Hotwire without having to wonder if the hotel will accomodate my family of 3 when I arrive or if the listed amenities will actually be available.

Not a knock on Priceline, but my personal opinion. I also don't like the whole bidding thing- just give me a set fair price and I'll say yes or no.

Momofkatie and Ranman, thanks to both of you for the additional information. I need to book 2 rooms for one night in April and will definitely check out both sites.

This hotel is now the Clarion Lake Buena Vista...it's often on Travelzoo for $49 and it does include breakfast. It gets very good reviews and was recently renovated. I have been told to request a room that is not on the side of the I4.
