We're going to Cocoa Beach after our WDW stay next summer (July '06) and we love to have some suggestions on where to stay.

DW, DH and DD9.

We found Daytona too crowded, too dirty and too crazy with all the ATV's, Cars & Trucks, and Golf Carts on the beach.

We've spent the last three years at Disney's Vero Beach and just loved it.

But we're thinking Cocoa Beach would be a nice change of pace if we could find a quality, on the beach, resort hotel.

Any suggestions fellow DisBoarder's??

Check over of the cruise boards --- many people stay in Cocoa prior to their cruise.

DH and I stayed at the Hampton Inn on the beach in May 2004 awaiting before our Disney cruise. The rooms were really nice and spacious with a great breakfast. The pool was ok, nothing to get excited over.

In Sept of this year, we stayed at the Radisson Resort in Cocoa Beach for two nights before heading out on the Magic. While it's not on the beach (but across the street), the rooms were very nice and clean, the pool was FANTASTIC, bar and live music at the pool and a restaurant. Staff was very pleasant and helpful...they see a lot of disney folks since most Disney Cruisers stay here before heading out to sea (it's the closet hotel to the piers). There is a really nice beach (state or local park actually), called Jetty Park that's less than a mile from the Radisson too.

Dave has some excellent suggestions at dcltribute.com

Hope that helps

Cocoa Beach is a wonderful, laid back beach town. We have stayed there several times and now like it better than Vero Beach (which we still love) because of the many places to eat and easy accesibility of everything.

Be aware - the Radisson is not near the beach - about a mile away and a car is needed.

Ron Jon's has a new resort with some units on the beach and some a short distance away. Fantastic themed pool.

We have stayed several times in condominiums on the beach, booked through www.vrbo.com (vacation rentals by owner). Beautiful places for about the price of a hotel room.

For hotels, as an earlier poster said, look at Dave's site - www.dcltribute.com

We stayed at the Days Inn Oceanfront. It had a balcony with a great oceanview. The rooms were clean, nothing extravagant but it is a nice place and not too expensive either.
