Recommend a restaurant at Animal Kingdom

I am thinking about changing one of our reservations and replacing it with one at the AK. Any recommendations?

There aren't too many TS options at AK but we liked Tusker House. For breakfast, lunch or dinner!!

They have traditional American foods with some other more ethnic offerings. I found this buffet to have something for everyone.

I know there are characters at breakfast but I don't think so at lunch or dinner.

There are not many options at AK. We like Yak & Yeti the best, but have not tried Tusker House. We do NOT like Rainforest Cafe...overpriced food.

We're trying Yak and Yeti this trip - hope we like it. We have never had Pizzafari (CS) before so we're going to try that also.

I should add that my daughter is on the gluten free/casein free diet, so I am a bit worried about Yak & Yeti for that. Anyone know how well they handle this type of thing???

We tried Yak and Yeti a couple of weeks ago. We didn't expect it to be good, and simply went out of desperation as we were hungry. We were pleasantly surprised. Everything we had was tasty. Also, the portions were generous, which worked well for sharing.

We are big Tusker House fans, it's a must do on every trip for breakfast (so fun with the safari characters!) and dinner, too. The buffet choices are a wide variety that covers all tastes, including children, but we enjoy the different food that we don't normally get a chance to eat.

It's really, really good.

Another vote for Yak & Yeti. Had an excellent lunch there in Sept. You may want to get their main number from the dining line and contact them directly with any questions as far as the gluten issue.
