We toured the DVC at BWV back in 2003 and are kicking ourselves now for not buying then. Would anyone recommend a truly-good-loves-to-help-always-reliable guide?:goodvibes

Byron Helgeson is terrific! He even called us back when he was away at a family reunion! PM me for his phone number.

We're thrilled with the service we receive from Randy Kruger, too!!:thumbsup2

Suzie Farnsworth is fantastic! I feel like I really am calling home when I call her! She's always happy to chat!:goodvibes

We have Randy Cook. He has always returned our calls, paperwork arrived when he said. No problems here.

If you toured you already have a guide. Call DVC and they will look you up in their computer and get you connected with your guide.

I would be very suprised if you took a recommended name and phone # off the boards that the person you call won't wind up being your guide. Be weary of the people PM you, soliticiting for their benefit!
Good luck.

What's a little referral bonus between friends? ;)

Anywho, I second Byron Helgeson. I may have been his easiest sell ever, but he was still extremely helpful, and I even talked to him this past Saturday with a couple questions.

We took the tour in '96 but ended up buying a resale. Our guide from '96 (Bernard Lebeaupin) is still considered our guide, even though we didn't buy from him.

Hey! Just for everyone else's information. Not everyone receives a referral bonus. Lots of states don't and either does Canada. I've PMed people with the name of my guide knowing that I don't receive anything. I just think my guide is great (Mike Brunson....straightforward, friendly, and most importantly to me....gets back to you regarding add-on questions) and would be a terrific start to anyone's DVC experience.

Also, just because some people receive a bonus does not mean anyone should be weary. Receiving a bonus and suggesting a good guide doesn't have to be an underhanded gesture.

Wow. Interesting.

It is not the idea of suggesting a guide, heck I needed that info, it's about how it was done. Everyone can judge for themselves.:thumbsup2
