Recommend a grocery store

What is the best/closest/cheapest grocery store near/in the World? We are renting a car for the first time and have never done this - assuming there are places nearby?

Hi Kristen

I assume you are getting the rental car at the airport. If so use the south exit of the airport which takes you to 417. Taking 417 is a MUCH easier and less traffic route to Disney.. If you take the north exit you have to use I-4 to get to Disney and I-4 is a traffic nightmare!!!

On 417 at the Orange Blossom Trail exit #11 there is a Super Target that has a nice grocery dept. WDW is at exit #6 on 417.

You can see the Target from 417. It is very easy to get to from the highway. I always stop here on my way to Disney. It is only 6 miles from WDW.

You will need to take some quarters with you. 417 as is most highways in Florida, it is a toll road.

*** also keep in mind 535 and Hotel Plaza Blvd can be a congested mess on the weekends especially in the evening because there is a lot of traffic headed toward DTD.

We seem to enjoy the Publix Stores... Either on 192 in Kissimmee or the one on Vineland....their deli serves Boars Head meat and cheeses and there's a liquor store next door...

There's a Walmart Supercenter on Route 535 (south) approximately four miles from Hotel Plaza Boulevard and the downtown Disney area.

If you're staying on the west side of WDW near AKL,All Stars

These are along the Lake Buena Vista 535 corridor on the east side of WDW just outside the Hotel Plaza blvd Disney entrance by DTD

Winn Dixie 11957 S Apopka Vineland Rd, Orlando, FL

These are a tad south of the LBV area

This is exactly what I did when we went in July. The toll is $.75 and there a several stores to choose from.

Take World Drive straight out of Disney to Celebration, there is a very nice brand new publix in town

We used to go to the Winn Dixie on Apopka Vineland, but now we use Garden Grocer and have everything delivered. If you have a large group (we stay in a suite with a full kitchen and have a party of 6-8), it's a huge time saver to order ahead versus making a big shopping trip.
