We have a full hookup site reserved for the couple weeks around Christmas. Ever since the conversion of the loops, we've had premium sites, so I'm not familiar with the full hookup loops at all. Even before the conversion we never stayed in 1600-1900 (those are the full hookups, right?) We probably won't have a golf cart, so I prefer to be closer to the main road rather than way in the back. Our MH is 45' long with slides on both sides, so we'll need a good-sized site. Any suggestions? (I do know that all I can do is ask and there's no guarantee I'll get the site - or loop - I request, but I figure I have a better chance of getting it if I request it). Thanks!

Howdee mdoc. We love the 1800 loop because it is secluded and away from the main road. Its very quiet, so nice. Unfortunately its a bit of a walk to the bus stop. You should request the 1600 loop and request a site near the bus stop. I have seen some big rigs in there. A lot of folks love the 1600, 1700, and the 1800 loop. I think the 1900 may be the least popular of these full hookup loops. Have a great trip.

Sites long enough to acommodate a 45' MH are 1638-1642. On the 1700 loop, most sites can easily hold a 45' MH. 1638 would be the closest walk to the pool & the comfort station & bus stop shared with the 1500 loop.

When we had our 45' MH, they 1st put us in 1818, which was deep enough, but left us with no side to side room once we put out the 4 slides. We were moved to 1701, which was GREAT!!

You can ask for a particular site, but, chances of getting a site request are slim to none. You would do better to ask for a site on 1700. Make sure you make your request known by calling the front desk or sending a fax about 5 days before check-in.

The sites in the 1800 have been widened. We were there in August when the work was being completed. You will now have more room.

Sorry jumping in here...Okay just curious, when you say widened...do you mean like the Premium sites are now? Does this mean the 1800 loop now also has the larger picnic table and new bbq grill too?

This is our first time going with the camper and staying at the Fort. So I was wondering are the Premium spots pull through? We booked a premium for April 2011. Is this good? I don't mind walking and my kids are old enough to handle the walk so is there a special spot I should call back and ask for? We only have a 27" camper that sleeps 8.

there are no pull thru sites, I love the 700 loop, 727 will get you close to the marina
