Recomended loops?

I have requested loop 900, after using the google maps ap, and looking on youtube (use "DWF loop" in your search and it list all the loops video)I think this will be a good area. (is 900 a pet loop?)

I like the fact its an inclusive loop, thus I feel safe about letting the kids ride their bikes around the loop. AS well it has alot of trees, seem pretty central, and close to the fort action.

what recomendation do you guys have for good kid friendly loops?

In case you haven't figured it out already, asking "what is the best loop?" is going to bring a wide variety of responses.

Personally, I don't even stay in the premium loops if I can avoid it. But, that is just me.

Since you asked about premiums, I'll confine my comments to them.

Shan-man says that 500 is the best loop.

I like the 500 loop, but it's not even in my top 3.

You asked about kid-friendly.

When my kids were younger, we liked the 1400 loop. It's close to the campfire area and pool. It's not a pet loop.

Now, I like the 800 and 900 loops. They are both pet loops.

The 1300 loop has a great playground along with a basketball hoop, and volleyball court at its entrance. People with kids like that.

The 600 loop has some sites with a fantastic lake view.

What I am trying to say, and with all due respect to my distinguished colleague, Shan-man, is:

there is no "best loop."

Since you have never been to the Fort before, I would say to not fret about what loop you want.

I have been assigned to loops that I thought I wouldn't like, and ended up liking them very much. Don't plan your trip based on other people's opinions.

i agree with both tcd and shan man. i stayed on the 600 loop after not being to the fort in years and loved it. after doing the fort about once a month and several different loop i realized there are not any bad loops. that is if your rig can fit. I have a problem with some tight spots. i came to love the 500 loop. with a sidewalk to the main road and a bus stop on the other side it makes for easy access, and with the dog park across the street my daughter can take my lab across the street fairly easy when she wants to. and my 6 year old and me can take a short stroll to the playground with the dog. we normally do not bring a golf cart and only rent them for big weekends like the 4th or halloween. just take what they give you and you will love. it down the road you will start to see the benefits and what you use most i.e. the marina and T.E. or the pool and meadows, or the dog park

We really liked 300 too, but we are going to go premium next time to avoid the sand pad. I'll pay the extra to not have to constantly sweep up sand and shell bits.

As far as premium loops go, I have to agree with Shan-man on the 500 loop. Keep in mind though that I've never stayed there so it is only an opinion that I formed while looping... It "looks" like a nice loop.

that is the entire reason I am going premium!! I dislike the sand with a passion!

thanks for all the info guys, this will prolly be our oly trip to Disney, so Im trying to get the best info I can to make it a great trip for my kids!!

We got around most of the sand by putting the dogs' pen on the sand pad with the extra camping mat under it.

And making DH leave his shoes outside.

Now if anyone has a way to keep the copious amount of cypress needles at bay, I'd much appreciate it. Brady's tail collects them up like a giant hunk of velcro!

Of course I could probably just stop requesting sites right next to the gigantic cypress tree on 300.

I still haven't been able to train Bruce...

Molly was a cypress needle magnet too! Usually we call Fudge "velcro boy", but he stayed relatively needle free because he always layed in his bed when he was outside. Molly likes the ground.

We didn't request a site when we went and we were very pleased with what we got. I'm not going to request a loop next time either. It's more exciting that way... With the golf cart we can get where we need to go without any trouble.

I dislike it too.

But, the cost difference between a premium and a partial is usually $30+.

Per night.

At that differential, put me in the sand!

For the last 25 years we have been a dedicated 1600 Looper, but this time due to their error we were upgraded to a Premium 400 Loop and have I think been converted. The site is HUGE and this is the first time I backed into a site and never had to jockey around to get the trailer where I wanted it.

I think I'm a convert and the 400 loop is only a no bus to the MK or a one bus to the outpost and that in and of itself is a plus.

I used to be that way, too. But, now that I have tried almost all of the loops, I have definite preferences. Since they usually try to accommodate requests, why not ask?
