Right now am looking at Adobe Premiere Elements and Uleads DVD Factory.
Anyone have any reviews of these two or other suggestions?

Why not DL Windows Moviemaker 2, if you don't already have it? It is FREE and comes with Windows XP. It might even come with Windows 98. In either case you can get it and try it for free. I don't know if it authors DVD, but maybe Media player does.

BTW, I like Roxio Media Creator for windows.

If you have an Apple handy I'd recommend Final Cut Pro, iDVD (for the consumer) and Shake (for the real pros).

I'm not aware of any major competing products for Windows, at least not at Shake's level.

For pure video editing, After Effects would be a fave (not sure if they make it for Windows) and QuickTime Pro is a must-have for the basics.
