Does anyone remember the pineapple with sauce they used to serve there as dessert? My daughter in law asked for the recipe because I made it once.

Is it a caramel sauce? Was the pineapple warm? I don't remember.

Thanks for any help.

I just remember it being room temp. sliced pineapple with carmel sauce. My kids will get a bowl of fresh pineapple and put carmel on top to this day. I thought it a weird combo when served, but it is very good.

You can do your own version of it at home easily at home.

Cut a whole golden pineapple into lengthwise quarters. (IMO Costco sells the sweetest fresh pineapples.) Next, cut the flesh away from the skin and leave the skin intact. Slice the flesh and put it back inside the pineapple skin shell. Heat up Smucker's caramel flavor ice cream topping in the microwave and serve it with the pineapple.

that all seems right to me as well.....all I know is that the caramel wasn't gloopy (is that a word?) and it was runny enough to be picked up by and stick to the pineapple.....

I do as well, It is yummy
Just don't burn the carmel, microwave 20 sec at a time then stir
