Hi all,
I was looking through a cookbook at a bookstore yesterday and saw a recipe for Maple Honey Meatballs in a crockpot. I did not buy the book, but would love to make these for my dad's 80th b-day party in a few weeks.

I know that the recipe included:
bag of frozen meatballs
soy sauce
honey
maple syrup

ETA: I think that the recipe also had pineapple chunks in it.

I don't know the quantities, can anyone help? I have done a search, but nothing came up.

Thanks,
Jenny

Have a look on the crockpot crazy index and see if there's something similar. You can probably wing it a bit on quantities - its not like baking a cake, a crockpot is very forgiving:goodvibes

Here's one, but there's no honey:

Maple Glazed Meatballs

Covered LOW 5 - 6 hours

1 1/2 C ketchup
1 C maple syrup or maple flavored syrup
1/3 C reduced sodium soy sauce
1 tbsp quick-cooking tapioca
1 1/2 tsp ground allspice
1 tsp dry mustard
2 pkgs (about 16oz) each frozen meatballs, fully cooked & partially thawed
1 can (20 oz) pineapple chunks in juice, drained

Combine ketchup, maple syrup, soy sauce, tapioca, allspice & mustard in slow cooker.

Carefully stir in meatballs and pineapple chunks into ketchup mixture.

Stir before serving.

Here's another one (still no honey):

Maple Meatballs

1/2 cup real maple syrup
1/2 cup chili sauce
2 teaspoons dried chives (or 2 tablespoons fresh chives)
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1/2 teaspoon ground mustard
26 (1 pound) frozen, fully cooked meatballs, thawed

In a saucepan, combine syrup, chili sauce, chives, soy sauce, and ground mustard. Bring to a low boil. Add meatballs and then return to a boil. Simmer over medium heat for 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally until meatballs are thoroughly heated. Serve as an appetizer with toothpicks or over hot cooked rice (I made 1 1/2 recipes of the sauce if I’m doing this). Makes 5-6 servings.
