

THEY were made with raw potatoes grated. Now GRATING is a WHOLE nother can of wax! Do you use the LARGE holes and have shreds? Or do you use the SMALL holes and have mush? My great grandfather used to make them and would use the small holes. My FIL does them the same way.
I grate the potatoes and onions into a bowl of cold water and rinse them several times. Then I add the flour and eggs. I have always fried them in oil.
