Recheck your hotel/car for lower rates

We are leaving at the end of the week for our trip to DL. I rechecked our dates for the Best Western Park Place Inn and our car reservation with Dollar. There was a new slightly lower rate at BWPPI that saved us a little over $30 for our stay and I saved another $90+ on our mini-van rental. I guess travel is down and they are trying to lure in people last minute with lower rates. I was able to rebook at the lower rates and cancel the previous reservation. I can do a lot with an extra $120!

You probably got my low rate as I had to cancel two days ago (unexpectedly) at the hotel and we had an awesome rate for this weekend.

We rechecked rates for fairfield inn and they were lower so they lowered our rates. We are now paing 100 bucks per night instead of 130!

Poor you! We were on the AAA rate and when I checked, the AAA rate had dropped from what it was a few weeks ago. We're at $115.20 + tax per night right now for a mini-suite. If you had something lower than that, tell me how you got it!

I just looked on get away today and Our package went up 400.00 thank goodness we got them when we did!!

Our hotel rates went up by $35 a night for our first 3 nights! And my DH said I was crazy for booking 6 months out!

Yep, you should always check, especially if you made your ressie way in advance!

We are going at the end of June for 5 nights and actually got a good rate at the Comfort Inn. We got a two bedroom/two bath suite for $126 a night.

I was on the site last week looking up something and saw they were having some kind of summer special so I plugged in our dates and it came up $100 cheaper for our stay! We called and they changed our rate for us!!!

I just heard back from getawaytoday, the fairfield is already sold out for the " get 2 nights free " when we go in august. Im so glad I booked way ahead of time!!

We leave in the morning so I checked the rental van one more time and the rates dropped again! We saved $200 on the van rental by checking rates. So check up until the last moment.
