Hi,

I have a digital camera that runs on a rechargable lithium battery, I was just about to order a plug adapter thingy (the one that changes the 3 prongs to 2) when i realised that the US has a different type of electric ( iknow i'm not making much sense but i know what i am trying to say) anyway, is it possible to plug the UK recharger into a US plug or will it get fried cos of the different voltage?

I hope that makes sense.

Love
Sarah

It won't get fried because the States use 110 volts as opposed to our 240 volts - it will just take a little longer.

Every time we go I recharge the video camera batteries, my mobile phone, and the digital camera batteries and there is never a problem.

Have a good holiday

Biggest problem we had was keeping the plug and adapter in the soclet on the wall in the bedroom - the US sockets are the best and in the end we had to prop the plug and adapter up with a phone directory :)

Most camera rechargers are 110v - 240v, it'll say on the charger.

You can also get currency converters which take the 110v and boost it to 240v - we got one at one of the electronic stores at Belz.

last tiem we went we found that it took a long time to charge our batteries for our camcorder, and we proped the plug up with our bag too!!! You should take a spare set/battery and leave it charging all day, I also found that the battery didn't last as long as it usually does.

This time we have got a car charger for the battery in the hope that it will charge faster!
