Hey guys i'm new to this!
I've always dreamed of having a disney fairy tale wedding and now that ive actually started doing some research i've realized i would love to have my ceremony at the wedding pavillion. For the reception, the grand floridian looks AMAZING! however, my wedding party will probably be quite small, probably around 30 guests seeing as how i live in pensacola, fl and only my closest family and friends will be making the 8 hour trip. Most of the available locations for the reception at the grand floridian look quite large for such a small guest list. ANY SUGGESTIONS??
thanks!

Well, welcome to the planning!!

I would say if you're having a small wedding I'd stay away from any ballrooms - they won't be worth the cost for you anyway! There are a few restaurants (I THINK) at the Grand Floridian that you can have your reception at though. I think maybe Narcoossee's and Citrico's. The wedding pavilion's beautiful and it'd just be a short walk to the grand floridian! Definitely call the wedding planners if you want to know more detailed info. They'll be able to give you the most accurate, up-to-date information on the venues you're interested in.

We fell in love with the Whitehall Room at the Grand Floridian. We will have approximately 30-40 guests and a dance floor. The room is perfect for a reception of that size, I think. I couldn't imagine having our reception anywhere but at the GF but needed a smaller space. I think it is gorgeous!

I second the Whitehall room. It is very beautiful and perfect for a party of that size.

I'll third the Whitehall room! :lmao: Its perfect for your guest size, is an interesting room shape with a really great patio that even (I hear) has a view of Wishes!

so there is ample enough room for a dancefloor??
if so that sounds perfet because i really big on having a dance floor/dj!

Having a dance floor is dependent on how many guests you have. I know we are having about 41 and we are doing our dancing outside (in January) as the patio is HUGE (bigger than the room I think) . I like the fact that people can dance if they like or chat if they like.

We are using the WhiteHall Room as well. We are planning on having approx. 40 people. It is going to be set up so we are at a sweetheart table and there are four tables with ten seated at each. The dance floor will go in the centre and there is also room for a table for children's colouring, games, etc......

I wonder why we have to have our dancing outside then... oh well. I guess I will ask about it at my planning session.

skylarr29,
i was wondering the same!...especially since my wedding is most likely going to be in march and it will e quite warm outside..especially considering everyone will be in formal attire!
please let me know if you find out from your wedding planner!!
thanks!
