Reception Menus

Hey Everyone! My DF and I are trying to decide what to choose for our tasting and we need some help. We have gone through the menus up and down, but we are really picky eaters and we don't know what half the things are on the menu. If you could post your menu and especially if you had anything off menu that yo can have at the wedding, we would really appreciate it. Thanks for the help.

We picked all of our menu from the Disney restaurant menus. If there's anything you've ever had there, they can probably do it! I've seen cases where they even did a dish from a home recipe.

I second what ColeV said. They can make anything you'd like even home recipes. You just need to ask.

We built our menu from the menus we were sent and from wdw restuarants. We had a fajita bar for our cocktail. Salad, cheddar cheese soup from le cellier, Then we had the Parmesan crusted chicken, a pepper rubbed sirloin carving station, a pasta action station with an a la vodka sauce and an Alfredo sauce and Mashed potatoes

I agree, they can really do anything you want, and those menus are just guidelines. If you want something that you've had at another restaurant, they will get the recipe and recreate it.

Also, don't be scared of the descriptions, the tasting is so you can try the items and see if you like them. For example, we're having the airline chicken in blackberry demi as one of our meal choices, but you really don't taste blackberry per se, it just has a savory sort of taste and is not fruity or anything like that. I have lot of pics and details from our tasting in my PJ.

This post makes me happy!!! How much did they charge you to add the Cheddar cheese soup from Le Cellier? My fiance and I make this ALL THE TIME at home and would LOVE to serve it to our guests at our wedding!!! Thanks!

Anyone else care to add what they had for their menu? I thought I wanted a plated meal, but it seems like you get so much more for your money with buffet at Disney! Anyone done plated appetizer and/or salad then buffet? Was that similar in cost to buffet? Love hearing about everyone's menus!

I'm just returning from my tasting/planning session. I'll write up a trip report soon with pictures, but we tasted:

Mushroom tarts
Mickey stamped quesadillas
Mushroom and artichoke salad
Parmesan encrusted chicken with mushroom creme sauce on the side
Mahi Mahi with limoncello buerre blance
Filet mignon with blackberry demi
Calico rice (wild rice)
Mushroom risotto
Gnocchi with vodka sauce

It was very yummy!
