For an escape wedding so 18 guest

looking for a place to have the reception I have read of a few places but can you give me some locations and the prices to use them. It could be indoor or outdoor we would like to be able to have a dance so not looking at a resturant...

I do not think Disney allows you to book actual reception venues with dance floors etc. if you are an Escape wedding. I think your only choice is a restaurant. I would ask your planner and see what they say, they just might offer you a location.

What about the attic?

I've seen on someone PJ of the bride and groom having a dance on the balcony area outside... its a very lovely cosy place. I would have gone with the Attic, but i think i may have too many people.

Give me a few secs and ill upload a few photos for you.

I am looking into the same thing and I was recently told by DFTW that the Escape package, is only the ceremony and cake cutting. But if you want to feed your guest, it would need to be at a resturant or at one of the small meeting rooms. You might be able to have a dance there.

Have you looked into having the reception portion at one of the smaller party rooms. Ex. ARIEL'S at the Yatch Club. They have an area where you could dance.

there is also a place called the Sonoma room- its amazing. It only holds 30 people and thats with no dancing space, so with 18 peoples you will be able to have tables and dancing space.

the sonoma room - i think the views are amazing!!

Its in the California Grill - the Sonoma room is a nice private room - it would be perfect for a party of 18 - you could have tables and a dance floor!

I am considering the Sonoma Room

I believe you can only book a restraunt for a reception if you are a escape bride, so I don't think the attic would work.

Actually, my planner offered to book the Attic for me, and I am Escape (right now anyway).

Can I be nosey and ask the price for using the Attic? DD is engaged and she's in the beginning stages of planning. And I'm trying to give her an idea of what we could do at WDW for the same price of a at home wedding.

Sure! Here you go:

The food and beverage minimum (exclusive of wedding cake, service charges and sales tax) for events at the Attic ending prior to 5:00 p.m. is $2,000.00 Sunday-Thursday and $2,500.00 Friday & Saturday.
For all events ending after 5:00 p.m. the food and beverage minimum is $2,500.00 (Exclusive of wedding cake, service charges and sales tax).

When I was planning an Escape wedding, I was told that an event at the Attic would need to end by 5pm. We are Wishes now and going on a site visit tomorrow. I can't wait to see the Attic. I hope everything works out for your DD!
