Well im not engaged yet but hoping it will be soon and as we will be paying for the wedding ourselves, i thought i would plan what what we would do so we can start to save!

ok so here is what i have so far:

-it will be an escape wedding at SBP in the morning with 13 guests (15 including us)

now as for the reception this is where i get stuck! the wedding is going to be quite simple no bridesmaids or groomsmen and just family so i don't want to make a big fuss at the reception. i don't want dancing or anything a usual reception would involve so i don't need to book out a room (or at least i don't think so) just would like to eat somewhere that will accommodate everyone's taste and our budget!

any ideas?

We are only having 9 people at our wedding. We where going to do the buffet at 1900 park fare but i read some really bad reports about it being really noisy no matter what time you eat so we changed it to Portobello Yacht club. Myself and my DF are really happy with this choice as the menu covers something for everyone.

Hi!

What type of atmosphere are you looking for?

I had an escape wedding at SBP and then had our luncheon at GFC....I wish I would have just had it somewhere on the Boardwalk or at one of the other resorts near the boardwalk..

I can give you a suggestion but it will help us if we know what type of atmosphere you would like....I went for looks because I think GFC is very pretty but I had issues with the manager there and issues when we got to the luncheon...they had lost our reservation lol.

i would like the atmosphere to be relaxed and informal but i don't want it to cheapen the day! I would like it to have a bit specialness to it (i know i made up that word). I was thinking of like an afternoon tea kind of thing at the GF but thought maybe somewhere on the boardwalk would be easier. its so hard just want to try and please everyone

I was also thinking of staying at the animal kingdom lodge on our wedding night and thought maybe eating there but i think logistically it would be hard for everyone to get there and back to where they would be staying.
