Reception food must haves

Hi, our phone planning session is coming up soon and we're just deciding on food for our reception and finding it hard to choose! Just wondered what your favourites were from your menu? What would be your must haves? Thanks for your help!!

We had a plated meal, my favorites were:
-beef and blue cheese bacon wrapped meatballs (pre-reception)
-Jiko filet with four cheese mac and cheese (plated meal)
-tirimisu martinis (dessert party)

The pasta action station was a HIT and was so delicious. The smells that were coming off of it were mouth watering. We had two pastas, a bowtie and penne with an a la vodka sauce and an alfredo sauce. So delish.

We also had the cheddar cheese soup from Le Cellier. That was my husband's request and it was so yummy.

I have been dying to know if they actually offer the Jiko filet for plated dinners - YIPPEEEEE!!!!

I have not had any of the food yet, but I have read consistantly great things about the new york strip. Just thought I'd add my 2 cents!
Have fun menu planning! That will probably be one of my favorite parts.

Thanks for the advice It's really fun but really tough to choose, there seems to be so much great choice! Don't know know how we're gonna pick the cake flavours yet (although i'm sure chocolate will be a strong contender for one of the tiers )

the beef short rib they had at the bridal showcase was sooooooo good. it will be a for sure for us!!

I loved the cream cheese crepes with fresh berries and creme anglaise!! YUM. It was by far my favorite at our brunch (would make a great dessert too). It normally comes with a grand marnier sauce, but I found it too boozy so I got them to make it without:

They will pretty much recreate any meal you want. It was so good and I think the best I've ever tasted. Our guests raved about it.
