Reception at a restaurant

Does anyone know if DFTW will allow you to have your reception at places like "the wave" or "fulton's crab house" and let it count towards your minimum. I am thinking that most likely they won't because the food is not through disney's catering service but I was not sure.

I ask because the contact at the wave and fulton's crab house have been phenomenal and I think I would really like to use them for the reception because they are being so great.

anyway I was just wondering.

No, only a private, catered meal through Disney's Event Group ( and booked through DFTW) would count towards a minimum.
