Hi everyone. I am recently separated, I just luv Disney-everything, i am a dvc member, went on the dis cruise in sept with my 2 grown children. I guess that most of my future trips will be single to wdw!! & to other vacation spots as well! I would love to correspond either by email or msn with a few new Disney friends! thanks

Wanted to extend a welcome to you to the DIS Solo board. This is a great place to ask any solo question you may have. I use this board, but hit the other boards as well. I'm a big Disney fan too!!! I am heading to WDW in less than 2 weeks for my fourth, but certainly not last, solo trip. Don't get me wrong. I love going to WDW with family, but it's fun going solo too. You get to do what you want, when you want, as often or as little as you want. You get to dine where and when you want. There is just alot more freedom solo than going with others. You get to make your schedule your own. You can go to the Magic Kingdom in the morning, grab a water mouse in the afternoon, then head for a nice dinner at EPCOT. I'm pretty independent and self sufficient, so going solo works well for me (again I still love going with family and am trying to convince them to do a Disney cruise with me sometime next year).

Hi Val......I too just turned the 45ish the other day......also welcome to the DIS...this is the greatest place to get any type of Disney information. I've made several solo trips and as Terk-1 mentioned your able to go where ever you want and do whatever you want. You are able to meet so many nice people there. It's so true that it would be great to share some of the magical moments with someone, but you just move onto the next ride. lol

Welcome to the Dis Boards Val,
I just started posting in Aug after our July vacation to WDW. Lots of information and good advice. I, too am single and in my 40's. My older sister and I both love WDW and will be going back next Aug. with a family get togehter of 8. Much easier to plan with two, but 8 will also be fun. We are hoping to stay in a 2bdr at OKW. First time stayin in a "Home Away Home" resort. We are really looking forward to it. Have you been a DVC member long? We are curious about DVC membership, but need to look more into it before we decide on buying. If you like you can PM me your views about it. Thanks

I am a single and DVC member too.

Solo trips are great you get to go where you want to go - when you want to go and stay as long as you like.....

DVC resorts work very well for solo trips.

you can write me - I will gone until Monday - just make sure you put Dis boards on it - I delete alot of email that I can't recognize....

Well, ive just about "had" it here! very stressed out with family, my business etc etc. I have tenative air ressies for Dec 24, returning Jan 5! Im a DVC owner -buying 100 more pts for SSR, but I have NO pts left to use. So... thinking of going to Disney, really need some positive people around me!! Ive always always wanted to go to Disney around Xmas, but my x never wanted to, just dying to see all of the xmas decorations etc. I called to day but the cheapest on site is the all stars @ 107 per night. If I go i will probably buy an AP--how much is the AP? any discounts out there for on site during the holidays? ive mostly stayed on site. thanks what is the verry merry xmas party? thanks
