Just returned a few days ago from vacation in Disney World and Universal - me, hubby and twin girls, age 10. We had a very nice time ... And I will write reviews over next few days - for now here are some highlights:

On Disney end of trip - Stayed at Swan Hotel for first 3 nights and then at Dolphin for next 2 nights. Biggest asset for these hotels are their closeness to Epcot and Hollywood Studios. We ate at several Dolphin/Swan restaurants. Also, the girls did Bibbidity Bobbitty Boutique and loved it followed by breakfast at CRT.

On Universal end of trip - We spent 2 nights/3 days at Universal onsite hotel (Portofino Bay Hotel). They gave us a $50 discount per night ( so $100) because of the construction/landscape work going on on the side of the building we stayed at. Appreciated the $100 off - and the construction was never really a problem. Honestly, only heard noise the morning - the day of our departure. It was great taking the water taxi to the parks and City Walk ... Took less than 10 minutes. Also didn't have to wait long for the water taxi - the most we waited was 10 minutes.

Having the express pass for the parks was great ... Dont think we can go back again without this. We never really waited too long and I felt good going on the express pass line. We ate at Sals at Portofino. - real good pizza, salad and sandwiches. We also ate at Margaitaville and Emerills. One of my twins is a picky eater - the other one is very adventurous food-wise... But we were always able to get something at the restaurants that my picky eater could eat

Will write more later. Any questions, just ask.
