I've read quite a few complaints in the last couple of months about WCC not being as "fun" as it had been. I have always wanted to eat here, but held off because DD was very shy. Now that she's a bit older and is starting to open up some I thought we would give it a try this trip. I think she would actually enjoy some of the antics now.

Has anyone been there recently? Is it true that the servers no longer interact with the diners in a "lively" manner?!?!

We ate there during the xmas holidays and all the kids were having fun. The servers were interacting with the children. Lots a laughter and fun. The food was great.

I dined at WCC two weeks ago and had a wonderful time! Our waitress was very lively and interactive. I had to sing happy birthday several times to other tables and we were introduced every time a new party sat down. She threw straws at us, played a few pranks and made our meal very enjoyable. The food was terrific as well! I recommend this restaurant and think you will have a great time!

P.S. Make sure you get one of their shakes! They are so good!

We went in September--didn't like the food at all (DH got sick). We are going to try breakfast in a year or two. There was no interaction that night, but I understand there has been a lot of it lately.

We love WCC, and ate there in early January. The atmosphere was more subdued than it used to be, but they did the pony races and ketchup. Still fun, just a little less wild than we are used to - but maybe that was because it seemed there were mostly new servers that night.

Give it a try, I'm sure you'll enjoy it! :sunny:

I haven't been there recently but will be there in March :cool1: . WCC is one of our favorite places to eat...but there is something about the waitstaff. They are either hit or miss when it comes to the antics. The first time we ate there, we had a wonderful server who really got us in tears with laughter, but our second time there we had a waitress who just wanted to get our orders in and be done. However, on the second trip, another waitress from a different table had noticed how much beans my FIL had been eating so she decided to harrass him on it....IT WAS GREAT!!!!!! He was sooooooooooo embarrassed which was a good thing, because he is always embarassing me whenever we go out with him, it was pure payback :rotfl2:

I think the antics are hit and miss. You may have a server that will do it and you may not. My advice is don't go there just for that.

We ate there in mid-January and we've eaten there many many times and the food was good and there was plenty of lively activities!

We ate there January 29. Here is my quick review:

The "fun" is obviously dependent on your server. The one right next to us was VERY lively, introducing his whole table to the restaurant, and constantly joking with them. They were a table of 8, so I think he had lots more material. Our server was more like a scolding parent, but he was fine. The food was very greasy, so we didn't react well to it later, but at the time, it was delicious. The shakes were very tasty, but they add a ton of whipped cream to them, which makes them extra, extra heavy. The bad part to us was the limited menu for kids. My son has Autism Spectrum Disorder and eats very little. I asked for a kids meal for him, but I couldn't do any mixing/matching, like get chicken fingers and mashed potatoes and corn which is what I wanted. My daughter wanted the kids skillet, so basically we ended up paying for 3 adults anyway. By the time I saw the bill, I was too full to discuss it!!

They only did pony races once between 7:00 and closing, so we missed that. They did a lot of ketchup yelling, but I didn't see anything else other than straw-throwing. I didn't like the fact that they didn't clear the table of any dirty dishes or glasses. I don't know if that's part of the "fun" or not, but I was waiting for something to hit the floor! Luckily nothing did.

Would I recommend it - sure, but not with high expectations for too much fun, and on a really empty stomach. Oh yeah, and not your last night there - it was hard to get up the next day because we were still digesting!!;)

We went during lunch last week, and our server was wonderful! SHe had plenty of antics up her sleeve, and lots of sassy remarks (in a fun way).
She was definately the highlight of the meal!

We went for breakfast and dinner during our last trip in August and both were WONDERFUL!! I can see how your experience could be diffeent if you didnt have an enthusiatic server.....:)

We had breakfast and dinner there last week and both times there was plenty of rowdy fun to be had. As others have mentioned, a lot of it depends on your server, but overall, it seemed like the same ol' WCC that we have enjoyed in the past. :thumbsup2

I have to say that when we went at Christmas time, we had a blast!! Honestly, it was so much better then we had expected!! We had not been there in several years and almost didn't go this trip just because of the reviews. Let me tell you that I am so glad we didn't listen to what other people had said. Our waitress was incredible and the food was actually pretty good. The milkshakes were fantastic!! I don't think I made it through dinner without tears rolling down my face from laughing so hard!! :rotfl2:
