We ate there January 29. Here is my quick review:
The "fun" is obviously dependent on your server. The one right next to us was VERY lively, introducing his whole table to the restaurant, and constantly joking with them. They were a table of 8, so I think he had lots more material. Our server was more like a scolding parent, but he was fine. The food was very greasy, so we didn't react well to it later, but at the time, it was delicious. The shakes were very tasty, but they add a ton of whipped cream to them, which makes them extra, extra heavy. The bad part to us was the limited menu for kids. My son has Autism Spectrum Disorder and eats very little. I asked for a kids meal for him, but I couldn't do any mixing/matching, like get chicken fingers and mashed potatoes and corn which is what I wanted. My daughter wanted the kids skillet, so basically we ended up paying for 3 adults anyway. By the time I saw the bill, I was too full to discuss it!!
They only did pony races once between 7:00 and closing, so we missed that. They did a lot of ketchup yelling, but I didn't see anything else other than straw-throwing. I didn't like the fact that they didn't clear the table of any dirty dishes or glasses. I don't know if that's part of the "fun" or not, but I was waiting for something to hit the floor! Luckily nothing did.
Would I recommend it - sure, but not with high expectations for too much fun, and on a really empty stomach. Oh yeah, and not your last night there - it was hard to get up the next day because we were still digesting!!
