Just came back from our 19th visit to WDW, stayed at the Yacht and Beach from Dec. 2-12. This was our first winter visit to WDW in all our trips and it was the greatest. Christmas in the air, music, what a beautiful place to celebrate the end of a year. The reports I've read before leaving, that are negative, are all alot of garbage. Early entrance wasn't all that great when it was there, the caravan of characters arriving at your resort is much better, since you stay put and the characters do the traveling. Since it is the winter season, the shorter hours were always in effect, not like summer. This way you see alot more of the other things there are to do in WDW than the parks. Pizza at Fort Wilderness is always a treat for us, dinner at O'hana is something not to be missed, HDD, 18 times is still cherished, relaxing at your pool with a drink and book is great plus the Disney Shopping Village to name just a few.
EPCOT has the beat for quiet, relaxing walking and scenery. Subdued lighting throughout the Worldshowcase is something to behold. We had priority seating for the CP and it was worth the whole trip to see as well as the Osborn lights in MGM. Main Street in the MK, with all the decorations is something you have to see to believe. The resorts are decked to the nines for this occasion and the bus times are still the bus times at Disney, neither fast or slow, just remember that you're on vacation and relax and enjoy the surrounding, theres more to WDW then the 4 parks. Landscaping, flowers, scenery the beauty goes on and on, plus I have never had a bad experience with a CM in all my visits, either at the parks or resorts, but who have gone completely out of their way to give us every request we have ask for to make our trip the best ever. My hats off to all the CM's in the World no matter what your capacity, you people are the best.
