Just came back from our 19th visit to WDW, stayed at the Yacht and Beach from Dec. 2-12. This was our first winter visit to WDW in all our trips and it was the greatest. Christmas in the air, music, what a beautiful place to celebrate the end of a year. The reports I've read before leaving, that are negative, are all alot of garbage. Early entrance wasn't all that great when it was there, the caravan of characters arriving at your resort is much better, since you stay put and the characters do the traveling. Since it is the winter season, the shorter hours were always in effect, not like summer. This way you see alot more of the other things there are to do in WDW than the parks. Pizza at Fort Wilderness is always a treat for us, dinner at O'hana is something not to be missed, HDD, 18 times is still cherished, relaxing at your pool with a drink and book is great plus the Disney Shopping Village to name just a few.
EPCOT has the beat for quiet, relaxing walking and scenery. Subdued lighting throughout the Worldshowcase is something to behold. We had priority seating for the CP and it was worth the whole trip to see as well as the Osborn lights in MGM. Main Street in the MK, with all the decorations is something you have to see to believe. The resorts are decked to the nines for this occasion and the bus times are still the bus times at Disney, neither fast or slow, just remember that you're on vacation and relax and enjoy the surrounding, theres more to WDW then the 4 parks. Landscaping, flowers, scenery the beauty goes on and on, plus I have never had a bad experience with a CM in all my visits, either at the parks or resorts, but who have gone completely out of their way to give us every request we have ask for to make our trip the best ever. My hats off to all the CM's in the World no matter what your capacity, you people are the best.

Sounds like you had a grand time. I was just there myself and was really nice to see everything all decked out for the holidays. Thanks for posting!

I'm so glad you had such a great time. I'm heading down next week and cant wait to enjoy all the Christmas things.

Don't miss the ceremony for the Osborn lighting, the snow and hot chocolate on New York Avenue is unbelieving. Same goes for the Candlelight Procession, choirs and musicians singing and playing hymns and carols, lights and snow while sitting there in shorts is something a northerner can only appreciate. Espically walking around the Showcase of EPCOT waiting for the Fireworks to begin, stop in Canada and get yourself a Beavertail to munch on, one with strawberries and whipped creme, and stand by the water fountain up the steps to the shops of Canada, an obstructed view of the show with no heads in the way. Hope all of you that are going down to WDW during the holidays have half as much fun and enjoyment as we had cause there is so much to see and do its almost a crime to have it all for yourself, and if you see a cheery little lass at Test Track, give her a special greeting cause shes our daughter on an internship till Janurary. Merry Christmas one and all!

How exciting having your daughter as a cast member! If you care to share her name I'll tell her hi if I see her. If not...I understand. :) I'm leaving Tuesday morning early...very early.

T o one and all that will be visiting WDW, stop by Test Track, Tip Board, the Land or HISTA and look for a girl with Christina on her name tag. She rotates through these four attractions in EPCOT and give her a big "HEY". shes our daughter having the time of her life. She always dreamed of working for Disneyworld and her dream came true, a dream is a wish your heart makes, and has been there since 9/11 on a college internship till 1/15. Ask her if she's enjoying herself and tell her her mom and dad said "hi" and gave her name to all you nice people out there in these forums that love Disney as much as anyone could. Thanks, and to all going and not, have a Merry Christmas and a very wonderful New Year.

right where you want it to be......Just the wonder of it all.......Even if I couldn't do a ride.....just walking and taking in all you did would be wonderful.........thanks so much for your report

Thanks for the beautiful sentiments about your trip. When you're in Disney, it's the little things that make it so great. Unfortunately too many people (myself included, sometimes) are too busy to notice it.

Sounds like you had a great time. I saw the decorations during DISCON and they were just gorgeous.

Thanks for posting this for us to enjoy.
