Recent Theme Park attendence (USA TODAY)

When I first read the original post, I had to shake my head in disbelief.
With our young men and women in the Armed Forces preparing for imminent war, we're back home "hoping" the conditions that lead to poor attendance at the parks (i.e., potential war and a bad economy) "keep up."

I am happy to hear that the parks were crowded... however, many of those people likely are locals who have Annual Passes and aren't going to spend the money on resorts, food, etc. What they need are the tourists from all over the country and around the world. That is what is lacking at this time, and leads to cutbacks.
