DH and I recently returned from a stay at VWL Oct. 15-21. This was our first stay at this DVC resort. It was beautiful:thumbsup2 I really liked the outdoor movie area and the option for boat transportation. I think Roaring Forks needs to expand food options. Whispering Canyon was a let down. We really thought the food was just ok and had just mediocre service. Whoever created jalapeno infused cheesecake :faint: should find a new line of employment. We even overheard other tables complaining about that dessert. Our waiter never even resurfaced with drink refills until we specifically asked if we could have them. My DH developed pink eye while we were here though and the concierge went above and beyone to assist us. They put us in a bus to the clinic and back:thumbsup2 Overall I would not hesitate to stay here again. Looking forward to trying out Kidani with my DD in January:goodvibes

Glad you enjoyed the resort--as you can see by my siggie, it's my home resort. However, I do completely agree with you about WCC. I've never felt it offered a very good value for what you pay, and service there has been spotty every time I've eaten there (three times). Still, I find it is the resort with the most solitude and serenity, and while I may not enjoy WCC, AP is a whole other story. ;)

I'm glad you got help for your health issues, and that you did enjoy your VWL stay.

I love the Wilderness Salad at Roaring Fork, and even take the boat over from BLT to get one if I'm not staying at VWL!

lad you enjoyed yourself. We will be trying out VWL for the first time in a little over 2 weeks. Can't wait!
