We went to Disney during June for a summer vacation and had a split ressie at BCV and OKW. We own at SSR and BWV. Anyway, we thoroughly enjoyed both resorts. We have now stayed at all DVC resorts and I must say I love them all. Very hard to pick a favorite. BCV and BWV are so conveniently located. Lots of action on the Boardwalk! Storm along Bay is second to none as far as the pools go. We stayed at the resort and enjoyed the pool for 2 full days and the kids loved it! It is hard to beat the short walk to Epcot and MGM from either one. OKW was very nice as well. Very lush, heavily vegitated and relaxing resort. The one bedroom is HUGE! The oversized balcony was also verry enjoyable. Olivias is one of our favorite restaurants. Overall we were a big fan of OKW and will stay there again. As stated, we own at sSR and enjoy the "newness". It is very peaceful and the short walk to DTD is great. We have visited WLV for dinner but not stayed there. The lobby is stunning but I think that is the highlight. How often do you hang out in the lobby? Anyway, back to the trip......It was great. 1st trip during summer. We visited the water parks, spent 3 full days relaxing and enjoying the resorts, and spent 2 days at the main parks.

I would have to say after staying at all the resorts, my preference would rely on the time of year. BCV is a MUST for summer. BWV is my choice for Thanksgiving/Christmas. OKW definately has the whole "peaceful" and "big rooms" going for it. SSR was our first ever DVC stay and won't be our last. I guess I am glad I am able to "mix" it up and have a choice of great resorts because I do think they are all wonderful in there own right!

OH yeah....
Summer time at Disney was great. The crowds were not as bad as I dreaded. Most rides were 10-20 min. Even splash mtn! Sure it was hot, but it is hot anywhere you go in June. I'd rather be hot at Disney than anywhere else!

The only resort I have not stayed at yet is the BWV and I too have enjoyed them all.

It's funny though, back before we bought in to DVC and would get the AAA book with all the Disney resorts in it we dreamed of being able to stay at the Boardwalk. That coaster slide looked like so much fun. Yet somehow we have not made it there yet.

Someday we will make it to the BWV's for a stay.

We have also stayed at VB and someday will add on points there so that we can stay more often. And lets not forget HHI, I need to plan a few days there some time too.

Wow, can you imagine how hard it it going to be to decide where to stay when we have AKV finished & the rumored CRV?

Isn't it great that DVC doesn't lock us into just one resort! While we would be very happy if told we could only stay at our home resorts, it's awesome to have the options to try the other resorts for a change of pace.

Well, some of us hang out there quite a bit each trip!

Or at least find any excuse to walk through it on our way to Roaring Fork or the boat! :)

my picks at WDW

BCV - agree summer or wine & food festavial
VWL - Thanksgiving to Christmas
BWV - wine & food festavial
OKW - spring or flower & garden festavial
SSR - NYE - or anytime when you want to finish the nights at PI
