Recent rennovations at All Star Sports

I just got back from there a couple of days ago. From what I could see, they were working on part of one of the Football Buildings. Hoops and Surfing had NOT been touched yet (from what I could tell - stayed in Hoops - Building #2) but I don't know about any other the others

Home Run Hotel is the only section that has been refurbished.They began work on Touchdown! while I was there last week and had already finished some of them and were placing Guests in them yesterday.The rooms still smell "new".

Where are the preferred rooms located at ASSp. I was thinking of paying extra for a preferred room to ensure that I get a refurbsihed room. You would think that they'd refurbish those building first.

Surf's Up the preferred section, but it sounds like they going from left to right with the refurbishments. If so, it will probably be the baseball section, then the football section, then Surf's Up, then the tennis section, and finally the basketball section. I wonder how long it will take them to completely finished? I was unable to get the discount code for POP for my Dec trip and had to switch to AS Sports. A refurbished room would sure be a good surprise .

Year before last they were doing the Surf's Up building. Seems that they have a rotation schedule and are always updating the rooms. I figure the AS get more abuse being as they are most often used by families and such.

I suggest Touchdown, toward the bus stop, for a good room without paying extra. Touchdown rooms are as close as Surf's Up rooms according to what part of the building you are in.

The refurbishments Are slated to be completed by Feb. 2008.
But it does sound like they moving right along.

So sorry to hear about your loss. I hope that everyone is holding up as well as can be expected.

I'm thinking of calling today and adjusting my reservation. Only problem is that I'm booked under a Visa special in a preferred room, and I'm not sure if I'll be able to downgrade to a standard w/o giving up the discount. My plan was to change over to Touchdown anyway, DS LOVES football. (Well, as much as a 2 1/2 yr old can anyway!)

Well, thanks everyone for the advice! I finally made my decision. Called and "downgraded" from preferred to standard. Requested Touchdown and parking lot view. So, we'll see what happens when I get there! At least I saved a few bucks and I hopefully won't be near a pool! Keeping my fingers crossed the requests come thru.

SO my question is I want to down grade my discount to a non perf. room also but they keep saying none is av. Can I down grade once I get there becouse I want to stay in the baseball building. My kids are so into it. Just got down buying them new bats and gloves for christmas and now I need to get them new bat bags. Join in the swap, swap swap.

From what I know of 2 1/2 olds they are all love all the time and know nothing else.

Please tell him to play outside my door cause I cannot hear and would enjoy watching him.

I hope you enjoy your room location. It is difficult as everyone likes something different sometimes.

I live in a huge old house and enjoy the Spartan living in a motel room without a lot of 'stuff' to take care of.

He absolutely IS all love all the time. That's actually what I meant. He's so excited by everything, I know he's going to be totally enthralled and overwhelmed by the whole experience. I don't think we're going to be there at the same time, if I remember from our earlier correspondence, or I'd have him climb up on the X's and O's and send some of his own your way!

As for room choices, I've been researching and stressing and pro-ing and con-ing, but mostly b/c its so fun to plan and anticipate. As long as the room is fairly clean and has a place to sleep and shower, I really don't care. Just to ask for the best choices and then we'll see what happens. I don't plan on spending much time there anyway. I'm just too psyched to be taking my little man (and my big one) to Disney!

Thats when well be there, had to take the perf. but wanting the baseball building, are the pool faceing rooms of the baseball building perferred.

My bil who was killed was my sisters ex husband. They had been married a long time and had three kids. He was the love of her life but they just could not live together. It was an on and off thing for years. He stayed involved with his kids and paid his child support and earned my respect and love. The funeral was hard as my sister and her new husband were there and I am sure there will be some problems come from her obvious distress. I hope I am wrong. It was nice to see the family support though. One sister that we had not seen in over 4 years showed up. I am so sorry it took something like this for it to happen but I was delighted to see her as I feared I would never see her, in this life, again. She is the youngest and I am the oldest but she is in terrible shape. Very emotional few days.

mum of two pirates, when you check in I would request the room you want and if you cannot get it ask them if you could be moved to what you want the following day. Have you called now and seen if you could be changed to the section you want? They assign rooms a few days before you check in. I am thinking that there might be fewer folks than usual since the pools will be down and that might your plan a bit easier. BTW, they will move your stuff from one room to another while you are out and about in the parks so you will not miss out on any of the fun. You just pack your stuff up and put it under the window and then you can pick up your new keys when you get back from the parks. I also leave a nice tip for them too. Hope it works out for you.
