Recent rennovations at All Star Sports

Nobody told me that on the 50 calls to wdw. What ones and when and how do I find out from them. Sorry but I'm not impressed and want to get moved. Why would they close the pool for refub. during pop warner week, that is so dumb. Thanks Mum

The Surfboard Pool and Kiddie pool are closed for refurbishment from August 27 - October 4, 2007.

mum of two pirates, Hopefully your trip will be different dates than when the pool is closed?

I am sorry but we do not use pools so I just do not pay much attention to such.

At least you have a heads up and might be able to switch resorts if this falls when you are coming. Hope it all works out well for you.

So hopefully all the pools will be open. I was planning on riding the bus down the line to the movie resort one night so we could get pic and use there pool for a while also. thanks anyway. Mum

Hi. We'll be there 12/8 - 12/15 and hoping for the Home Run Building. We were in the Surf's Up Building about three weeks ago. When we walked around, we saw the Home Run Building and thought it looked really cool and decided to switch from ASMu to Sports again and try to get the Home Run Building. Love being able to be first on and off on those buses! ;)

DJT, now you just watch out there cause that is why we like staying at the Sports too!

Us Hoosiers are a competive bunch ya know?

You can be first on the AK and MGM days though cause I drive then.

See you there!

Slightly Goofy,

We Hoosiers are a smart bunch, aren't we?! :cool1:

Actually last December my DH and I stayed at ASMusic and really enjoyed it. In April my DSis and I stayed at ASMovies and didn't like it.

My DSis was going the first of this month (August) and she said I could go stay in her room (for free!) at ASSports since her DH backed out of their trip and she decided to go without him. What choice did I have but go? tee hee What a difference the first bus stop makes! ;) I called today and changed our reservations for December from Music to Sports!

It's going to be fun!

I just returned from a trip to All-Star Sports.I usually stay in Surf's Up,but this trip I requested Home Run Hotel because it was the only section that had been refurbished. It was GREAT!It has its own pool and laundry and the theme is wonderfully carried out.Since the distance is about the same from Home Run Hotel to both the All-Star Music and All-Star Sports Bus Stops,I would take whichever bus came first when leaving the parks.:)

WEDWDW, you are telling me something I did not know! I know about the pool down that way but did not know that there was another laundry down there as well. I have been dragging my drawers all the way down the other end for naught?

I had read about getting the buildings toward the back where it is nearer another one of the AS resorts and using that transportation and food court.

And to think I considered myself somewhat of a Sports expert.

I am going to stick with my Touchdown building, parking lot view cause it is steps from the bus stop and food court but a shorter trip to the laundry is most welcome! Thanks.

DJT, I guess I am not as smart as a Hoosier cause I was born in Ohio. However I did attend a college that required me to know how to read and write, Butler. :dance3: Everyone around here is either an IU or Purdue fan so I have to stick up for myself somehow. :cheer2:

I have a sister named Donna but then I have six sisters so there is a good chance I have a sister by whatever name. :)

Yes,each of the six pools at the All-Star Resort has a laundry adjacent to it.I think it is usually less crowded than the Surfboard Bay laundry.:)

WEDWDW, I think you are saying that there are two, one large and one small pools, at each of the AS Resorts and each pool has a laundry nearby. I would hate to think I missed whole swimming pools cause then I would be MORE than

Hey, you'll be there the same time I am. I had POP booked for Dec 8th-16th, but had to switch to AS Sports when the discount codes came out.

aubriee, you will find that the Sports is not so very bad, really!!!

Besides we will be there the same time so how bad could it be?

Yes,Sports has two pools,Music has two pools and Movies has two pools for a total of six All-Star Resort pools and six All-Star Resort laundries.:)

WEDWDW, whew for a minute I was scared I did not count the pools at Sports correctly. Even though I have never dipped a toe, or any other bodily part, into the water such a large expanse of water is a bit hard to miss even for one as 'advanced' in age as I. It is a well known fact that my language skills are better than my math skills but I could count to six in first grade. I were an advanced student.

I will think of you fondly as I wend my wayto the nearest laundry.
