Recent menu changes we don't like....

2) Since there is so many people using the wasteful DDP, they have to make up the costs somewwhe,

Whoa, you lost me here. I guarantee Disney makes more money off of me using the Deluxe plan than me not using it. So why do they need to "make up the costs" somewhere? I just use it for the convenience. We don't use it when on trips with just the wife and I, but with grown kids it works out best as we are all in different places at times and meet for sig dinners later on.

I think you may be referring to the "FREE DINING"?????? of which I have never used.

Well I am happy to see that Narcoossees brought back the bbq shrimp and grits and added a 2 butter poached lobster tail option with the same sides as the whole steamed lobster.

I also love the changes to CA Grill's menu (it happened a little bit ago but within the last month) - black truffle and carmelized onion risotto with the filet? YUM. I had been targeting the wagyu ribeye but it got meh reviews so back to an old standby for me.

I have BoG lunch booked so glad they still have the braised pork then (I already preordered it!)

Everything else I have booked has held steady for the most part.

A piece of my soul died when I went to Pizzafarri on our last trip only to find it's no longer Pizzafarri. Sure, the name and place haven't changed, but their entire menu did. The Hot Italian Deli Sandwich was one of my top meals at Disney.

That is exactly what I will be ordering next trip!

we were not happy with the change to the new menu at Port Orleans French Quarter..for breakfast they have potato casserole and or tater tots..we always liked their breakfast potatoes...oh well...and didnt care for some of their options..

We were upset about the surf & turf burger change at the GF. We did not find about the change till go to the restaurant. That was the reason we made the ADR.

Not happy about the changes with LTT another one to cross off our list.

I think in the future we will QS it. Cheaper and less disappointing.

:thumbsup2 Plus if you get there & don't like the current menu options, you can leave & eat somewhere else without the $10 a person 'penalty".

I've just been checking the menus for all our ADR's and QS choices for our upcoming 16 night stay in December and dismayed to find lots of changes. RIP............

Surf and Turf burger at GF cafe
Ham steaks at Garden Grill breakfast
Hot dogs at Cosmic Rays (handy when half our party want burgers)
Braised pork at BOG
Pilgrim's feast a la carte at LTT
Gourmet grilled cheese sandwich with soup at Taste Track

I am still trying to come to terms with losing beef lo mein at Yak and Yeti, I can't take much more!

BOG has the braised pork on their lunch menu. I was just checking today for our upcoming trip.

I was looking forward to the Pork Shank at Gastons Tavern but it is gone. : (

Yeah, that one has been gone a while. We missed it on our trip last May. It was a great dish to share!

Not recent but I loved the fruit plate at the Boardwalk Bakery.

It was a first day tradition for me. Still bitter.:badpc: ;)

Thank you for the "heads up." I'm disappointed that the braised pork is gone from the dinner menu. I was able to get a lunch BOG and canceled my dinner ADR today.

well I was going to get the whole lobster and would have tried the softshell crab... I think i've had it before and did not remember one way or the other so I was willing to try it but would much rather have the shrimp! the butter poached lobster is universally adored so glad for that option now!

Haha. I love this thread. I came on here just to complain about how Pecos Bill's menu doesn't look anything like I remember. Not sure where to just get a good burger in the MK.

pecos has been different for a very long time. Cosmic Rays still has burgers and got rid of the "pod" system so you don't have to wait on separate lines for different things.

I miss vege burgers at cosmic rays

Wait, what? Uh Oh. My 17 year old is a vegetarian and that was one of the quick service places we knew we could get her something to eat at that she would actually eat.

Oh well, it's not likely she'll come with us much since she now says she hates Disney World - too much walking, not enough good vegetarian options that she'll eat (she doesn't like "mixed" food ie: food with too many things mixed together), and lines too long since the new FP+ according to her.

I also need to go take a look at the new lunch menu for LTT. I've got a lunch booked there in 2 weeks so I hope what I wanted is still there.

I'm fully with your dd-
I really enjoy 'dry' food.
Ordered moms meatless meatballs at 50's pt and the server actually said 'dry? Ugh!'

The plaza has vege burgers
I found ltt to be terrible for me-all I had were some sweet potato fries -nice but where's my protein

Not overly dramatic at all.
I feel your pain.

Eggs Benedict at Grand Floridian Café. They only have Lobster Eggs Benedict.
:( This must have changed since this summer...I had it one morning...it was fabulous! I wouldn't mind a lobster one, for sure, though!!

I did enjoy Peco's especially late night with the old menu. I do like the Fajitas on the new menu though (two of us can split a meal easily)

I am upset about the loss of vanilla ice cream for the dole pineapple float or the option of swirl. The only option is now pineapple dole whip with pineapple juice.

We were there in late September and they only had the lobster version. I even asked about standard EB, but they said they didn't have it. It wasn't on the menu, nor on the posted board. And it still isn't online at booking dining.
