Can you tell me if the amenties have change recently? Charge for WiFi? Cocktail hours? Free Cove coffee? I've seen varying reports. Thanks!

August last year on the Magic.

Free drinks at Cove cafe.
Wifi first $89 package refunded. Only fully free in the Royals Cat R.
We didn't have cocktail hours but I read others now have on trip reports.
We had on a 12 night, embarkation meet, and two concierge parties with free bar.
Extra meals at Palo.
Rooms open at 12.30 on embarkation.
Priority disembarkation all ports and end of cruise.
We had some other personal services to us which I will not post here as then either (1) it's expected by all (2) it's a spoiler, and maybe was as we were on a long cruise.

Thank you. I think this year they started the cocktail hour in Outlook? Wondering if that is now a standard. And free drinks at Cove Café? Is than now a thing? Do you get a card or do they take it off the bill? Hopefully someone that has cruised this year can tell me what they saw. Trying really hard to upsell to DH but, without the concierge lounge and sundeck, he isn't all that convinced it's worth it. :worried:

On the Wonder yes, on the Magic it's often in Keys.

We had it last summer I didn't know it was becoming a standard perk then, I had a conversation with our concierge host about coffee and got it. I have now read concierge guests getting it all the time.

I had a card given to me signed by the beverage manager for free drinks I got a nil bill and could add a tip. I read now you just flash your Gold stateroom card.

Hopefully someone that has cruised this year can tell me what they saw.

When are you cruising? I am on the Magic in July and I will report it on my live blog at that time.

My advice talk to your host regularly about your needs and plans and issues and they will provide solutions to you personally. Now as an example, you see above, I discussed with my host I like my coffee and I loved the facility on the Fantasy for coffee anytime, and the card turned up. - I didn't ask or expect it, it " arrived".

I had similar conversations ( may I add not fishing for any special service) about other issues or concerns any my host provided solutions for them. I will not post them here, if / until someone else posts it as it may have just been for us only, and as soon as its posted here everyone will demand it.

I know a few posters will turn this around for us seeking favours or special service, but I will make it clear it was conversations on what we like what would make the cruise special and our host then would surprise us.

It may be they have some budget or allowance to grant certain things, we hadn't used the Spa or shore trips or had any special occasions so concierge had not really had anything to do for us bar an extra brunch, and priority disembarkation, so maybe on a long 12 night cruise they felt they could allow more for us.

Or it might have been we had Karl Holz next door and I kept bumping into him and having hour long chats with him.

I have a hold on a T for the 2016 Canada cruise that I have to put a deposit on today.:scared1: I think I'll just do that as I have a year to cancel.
I'd really like to see how your trip is so I'd love to follow your blog. See if you can find out what's going to happen during the dry dock while you're there, too. ;)

(1) if you put a deposit down on concierge you can move it on to a new booking but can't cancel as you will loose your deposit, (2) we will be writing a live blog, what out for it, there will be a lot on it, we are in 8534, and (3) The Magic dry dock will be mostly routine, plumbing engines stuff not done last year but a couple of changes, I expect it to be " public" before my cruise, but if not I will post it then.

Some are already speculating in the correct general direction.

The odds are pretty good there will be a concierge lounge added during dry dock.
